Hoodman's 16GB SDHC Memory Card RAW STEEL is a stellar storage solution designed to withstand the rigors of high performance photography and videography. While many flash cards can be on the more delicate side, Hoodman has included a few features to ensure that theirs is rigid and tough. The card is steel-plated with a hard plastic exterior. In addition, it contains miniaturized chip-on board technology, instead of a PC-board like many other flash cards. Because this technology allows for more space inside the card, Hoodman has filled that space with an epoxy, so that the sensitive flash components are completely secure and insulated. In so doing, the epoxy both makes the card extremely rigid and water-proof.
Along with these extra protective measures, you still get the same superb SDHC performance that's synonymous with the Hoodman name. The card features a sustained write speed of up to 30MB/second, well-beyond the SDHC Class 10 minimum. I purchased this card with the Hoodman SxS adapter for the EX1R. I've done some limited testing with the EX1R in slow motion mode. So far this combination has worked without any issues. It's nice to have options besides the overpriced SxS cards. Transferring data to my computer simply involves loading the card into a standard USB card reader. Excellent workflow. For absolutely critical shoots I will still use my SxS cards, however shooting for fun you can't beat the SDHC card.

So far using the Raw Steel card in my Canon 60d has been surprising and rated at class 10 has kept up with all the hd vedio and rapid shooting i have done.
