The Sanus VMA301 iPad Mount Adapter affords the perfect way to mount your iPad to the wall when used with a compatible VESA 100 x 1000 TV wall mount system. The Mount Adapter just attaches to the end of your mount and the iPad quickly and easily slips in and out of the snug fitting iPad holder. The release tab makes for quick iPad removal without the need for tools. The included Virtual Axis 3D faceplate allows you to rotate between landscape and portrait views, but is only compatible with certain VESA mounts.
Note! This item is designed for the iPad, it will not fit the iPad 2, or the New iPad.

I use this mount to take video with the iPad and the PC screens next to each other.
Works exactly as describes. I can confirm that it holds an iPad 3 without any problem.
I give it 4 stars for two reasons- while inexpensive, the plastic is pretty cheap. Also- the tab to remove the iPad is rather large; I would prefer a sleeker design.
