I love this bag but there are a few flaws.

As mentioned from the previous reviewer, the padding is a bit thin but it is reenforced with a strong plastic on the walls. It will hold up to being "checked-in" but a last resort. Besides if you're traveling with camera goods... You would get to the airport or check in early anyways to get a good seat and overhead luggage.

Why I love this bag is it saves your back from carrying large a,punts of equipment. It has pockets everywhere although I wouldn't put my laptop in the laptop compartment.

I'm 6'1", so the extra long roller handle is really nice with the addition of the user replaceable skate wheels.

      What it fits:
-5D mkII w/ battery grip, hand strap, Really Right Stuff L-bracket 24-70mm hood reversed
-5D mkII w/ battery grip, hand strap, Really Right Stuff L-bracket 70-200mm II hood reversed
      -3x 580EX II
      -24-105mm L hood on
      -24mm L hood on
      -50mm L hood on
      -85mm L hood on
      -Black Rapid DR 2 & RS 7
-2x PocketWizard FlexTT and 2x MiniTT
      -Apple laptop charger
      -Xrite passport and ExpoDisc
      -2x camera batt chargers
      -2x AA chargers
      -4x ThinkTank AA battery cases
      -memory card wallets and reader

Highly recommended but I wouldn't ever check this bag at the airport... Even if it was a Pelican case.

I bought this case because I had a Tenba Roadie Universal (original version) which I love. I assumed the II version of this line of rolling cases would be improved. To my dismay, although well designed ergonomically, it no longer incorporates the stiff outer wall that keeps other luggage/cargo from causing deformation. If you travel by air, sooner or later you will be required to gate check your gear and if it is in this case, all you can do is hope.
Upon inspection, I immediately returned this case. To the credit of B&H Photo, the return and replacement was facilitated without a problem. I replaced it with the original Tenba Roadie Large which I'm very happy with. Bottom line, if Tenba advertised this case as a car carrier only I'd have no problem with it. It does meet the stated airline size requirements for carryon. It does not meet the real world requirements unfortunately. I've owned several Tanba cases over the years and have been happy with all of them. In my opinion, they need to rethink this one.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

First off there is nothing outstanding about this roller. It is a solid bag with reasonable protection for your gear. It has plenty of space for lenses and bodies. It will not give you anything beyond that. Nothing about this bag will make you feel better except having a place to put a bunch of your stuff.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

I needed a sturdy bag for my growing gear and didn't want to have to buy another bag in a few years. After reading many reviews on all kinds of bags I knew this one would do the trick. Those super zippers and extra protection on the back for bumping up and downs stairs is great. Although this is not really a con, I will say it is heavier empty than I expected - this is no travel suitcase - this is a REAL camera travel case with lots of padding and weatherproof inner pockets for memory cards, etc.

I use this primarily for video. In it, I have the Canon 5D, three lenses, including the 70-200mm, my sound mixer, viewfinder, headphones, 2 rugged hard drives, monitor and accessories and a whole host of other necessities. I love the Pelican case I have used but I could not travel and fit everything in. This case was 100% essential and I recommend it to anyone for travel.

It comes with a nice little strap to attach my tripod to also with is a great little addition.

I use this item in the wedding to switch between my 24-70mm and 50mm lens. Great thing about this bag is that if you use small lenses it's very helpful that you don't need to put the lens on the floor ore what ever to switch it. The zippers are great as well, very easy and smooth.
How ever. The description said that you can fit there lenses that are as large as 70-200, and that's true.. partially. You cant fit 24-70mm or 70-200mm with out the lens hood! Witch looses the hole point of the lens switch bag. You still have to put the lens on the table to get the hood of the lens, before you can safely fit it back to the bag.
Buy it if you use small lenses, you will love it.

I purchased the Tenba bag for my travels recently, since I was traveling alone with all my equipment, I wanted a bag that would work with everything I needed to take on my trip. The bag is durable, smooth, and worked well with meeting my needs. It also fits perfect in an overhead compartment. The great thing about the bag, you can position the inserts anyway you see fit, to accommodate your equipment. One warning I do have, the size is a bit deceiving, and once you are done packing up the bag, it can be pretty heavy, so be warn.

The only reason I didn't give the bag 5 stars, was the lap top compartment, it's really difficult to find a bag that works with a 17" lap top, so the selections are limited. I was really excited this bag was able to do that, however it still is a tight fit for my lap top. I would have like to see a little more room.

Otherwise I highly recommend this bag, it's a bit pricy, but i think you definitely get what you pay for. Also you have no worries if it should begin to rain.

I wanted a case to carry on that held my camera package and would allow me to also carry on my briefcase with computer. This case holds my entire AF100 package and two wireless mic kits. I roll right through customs and immigration and no one notices that I'm carrying a camera package. I look like any other tourist.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

After looking online at nearly every rolling camera case to see which best fit my needs I settled on this case. Overall I'm very pleased. It's a rock solid case that's flexible enough to accomodate all of my main camera kit. It is a little deeper than I was expecting (not a bad thing) and some of the side pouches have an uneven bottom due to the retractable handle being present in the case. That said, I had to get creative on how to even out those areas and pad the spaces for shorter lenses, but it all worked out just fine.

My main concern for getting this case was for ease of air travel. Just had a few flights last week with US Airways and the case fit it all the overhead compartments, but only once with the wheels to the back and top out. The rest of the times it had to turn sideways to fit. That in itself made me a little nervous as the flight crew starts jostling luggage around to make room for everyone's most important carry on clothing bags. So I'd caution anyone from expecting this to fit into smaller overhead compartments. Fly big planes.

Zippers, padded handles, design, all top notch and I'm definitely happy with the case.

I bought this bag for an upcoming trip. I was going to buy the Roadie II Hybrid but decided that I would be better off with a larger bag that I could grow in to, especially since I'm flying domestically. While I haven't used it yet, I'm confident that it will fit my needs comfortably and will protect my equipment.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

I have been looking for a rolling camera bag which can carry my 600 mm f/4 lens for the last several years. I bought many camera and travel bags but none satisfied my needs, until I saw this bag on one of the photo magazines. I checked this out in one of the camera shops, and right away thought that this is it! Finally.

The bag is adequate to carry my gears. I do not need to have very strong reinforcement pads, since I do not check my bag in when traveling. It is relatively lighter compared to other bags.

Really happy to have bought this bag.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

I compared it with the Lowepro Pro roller, midsize. Tenba's pro features: Lot of volume (perhaps +25% in comparison) (I do not use separation bag/suitcase),
Tenba's cons: not as rigid as Lowepro
Simple, no gadgets, but it does perfectly what it is made fore.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:

I love this bag but there are a few flaws.

As mentioned from the previous reviewer, the padding is a bit thin but it is reenforced with a strong plastic on the walls. It will hold up to being "checked-in" but a last resort. Besides if you're traveling with camera goods... You would get to the airport or check in early anyways to get a good seat and overhead luggage.

Why I love this bag is it saves your back from carrying large a,punts of equipment. It has pockets everywhere although I wouldn't put my laptop in the laptop compartment.

I'm 6'1", so the extra long roller handle is really nice with the addition of the user replaceable skate wheels.

                                What it fits:
-5D mkII w/ battery grip, hand strap, Really Right Stuff L-bracket 24-70mm hood reversed
-5D mkII w/ battery grip, hand strap, Really Right Stuff L-bracket 70-200mm II hood reversed
                                -3x 580EX II
                                -24-105mm L hood on
                                -24mm L hood on
                                -50mm L hood on
                                -85mm L hood on
                                -Black Rapid DR 2 & RS 7
-2x PocketWizard FlexTT and 2x MiniTT
                                -Apple laptop charger
                                -Xrite passport and ExpoDisc
                                -2x camera batt chargers
                                -2x AA chargers
                                -4x ThinkTank AA battery cases
                                -memory card wallets and reader

Highly recommended but I wouldn't ever check this bag at the airport... Even if it was a Pelican case.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II Large Rolling Photo/Laptop Case:
