Comments about Sanus 44" Basic Foundation Curved Lacquer AV Stand (Black):
Putting together this "THING" was one experience I do not wish to repeat any time soon!
- The front legs and frontal part looks as if it was metal, but it is wood and not very good one either!
- The screws didn't go into their places.
- Some holes didn't match their counterparts.
- There is no cable organizer that you would expect to be in the back. There is NOTHING!
- The second shelf rests on four loosely fit "holders" with rubber rings on them, not particularly strong ones.
- NOTHING holds the top glass on its place, it is not secured in any ways. It is just placed on top of small rubber bumpers and that's it.
- 47" TV reaches from edge to edge, larger TVs would reach over its edges.
- Shelves are way too close to each other, there is not much room for stuff and equipment to be put and to be handled at all.
- The top shelf is much lower than I thought it would be, I would have loved the TV to be at least 5 inches higher.
It is what it is, the final product looks nice, but I would NOT recommend this to anyone without lots of time and patience to work on its assembly. For me, it was a sweaty long and nightmarish horror show that I don't care to ever experience again.
Get something higher, easier to put together, and metal/glass ONLY parts, not wood painted to black to make it look like metal.
POOR DESIGN AND NOT WHAT I WANTED AT ALL!

Comments about Sanus 44" Basic Foundation Curved Lacquer AV Stand (Black):
I purchased this stand to hold our Panasonic 55" Plasma flat-panel TV. Our TV needed to be placed in a corner of our living room, and the profile of this Sanus stand fits into the corner nicely. The stand looks good with its piano black finish and smoked glass shelves. It matches well with our black TV. Note that it will take you a while to complete the assembly, as there are many parts to fit together. Not a tricky assembly, but plan on taking some time.
