Comments about Olympus BLM-5 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery (1620mAh):

Cheap low quality batteries are accidents waiting to happen. My E-5 pays my bills, why would I use anything but the battery engineered for the camera? It's a no brainer.

i always use original batteries, rather than after market. at a cheaper price. After market batteries seem to have a shorter life span and don't charge as well. Save money elsewhere!

Comments about Olympus BLM-5 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery (1620mAh):

You bought an expensive camera & now you're going to get cheap by buying an off-brand battery for it? Really?
Ok, but don't complain if something goes wrong & you realize you've just voided you warranty...
There's a time and place to cut costs. This isn't one of them.
Overall, btw, the number of shots per charge of these is awesome. I've shot all day in sub zero temps and not had to change batteries, where I used to go through several spares when I shot with another camera brand.
          Way to go Olympus!

Comments about Olympus BLM-5 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery (1620mAh):

I bought this as an extra battery to go with my E-5. My old 2nd battery was from my E-500 days and it no longer took a charge. So when I bought my E-5 I wanted a 2nd battery. I'm not expert on batteries. I'm happy with anything that can be recharged and lasts longer than any disposable batteries. But these seem to last a very long time.
