Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
1. Noticed that the screen had uneven blacks areas, white patches in different areas of the screen. The TV was a month out of warranty, but the service centre honoured the warranty and got the panel replaced (took more than a month for the parts to be delivered). Still noticed the white clouding/ patches on the screen. even after a new panel was installed. Have to take the TV back to the service centre for a Sony tech to assess. 2. Digital TV is distorted if a device connected via HDMI is switched left turned on.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
I do like the TV, the picture is great... But the PIP and Twin picture features aren't available with two HD inputs... Which is the only inputs we have... Making PIP unusable.
I've also noticed blur with most 3d movies. Either in foreground or background (It seems to be a problem having both clear) although I'm not sure if this is an issue specific to this product.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
I am yet to experience such a beautiful picture - it is crisp and the 3d great and also very easy to use - we have it hooked up with a Psp as well as Sony amp and speakers - I would recommend this anyway and happy that my two months research paid off with good results

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
The unit comes with lots of connections that don't work well. There is an issue with one of the HDMI ports and you will notice this only when you unfortunately used the 'defective' port. The audio is bad and if you call for service, Sony will manage to correct the issue on the second visit (read: third week). The VGA port's performance is also poor and it keeps displaying the the incompatible device error every everytime.
The same problem happens with the component port.
Don't buy, better to return your unit!

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
I purchased this to hang in the lobby of my office. I primarily wanted to use it as a digital billboard, so I needed it to play images and/or media files from a USB drive, which this model does.
The picture quality is excellent, and the ability to play a wide variety of media content from nothing more than a USB flash drive is pretty amazing. Photographs look excellent, as do graphic slides.
Given that my interest was in playing back media from a USB drive, I was a bit annoyed to discover that the media must be meticulously placed within a specific folder hierarchy for the monitor to be able to recognize files that it is capable of playing. This is an unnecessary complication. It also will not display JPEG files saved in Photoshop. So I have had to use a third party app to re-save image files. This glitch is annoying and pretty inexcusable, but I eventually figured out how to work around it.
The monitor hangs virtually flush against the wall on a wire picture hanger style flat panel mount. It looks gorgeous and very eye catching.
The matte screen finish is great, as it makes it viewable even with daylight coming into the room.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
I use this TV currently in a brightly lit living room in a college apartment. It is great! Great picture quality for video games, movies and cable. I've noticed that standard definition TV is more grainy than normal but it is also being magnified on a 55" screen which is understandable. Casing is very sleek and does have distracting lights or labels. Screen is very light for the size and easy to maneuver. I have noticed that it sways a little bit when mounted on the stand but I would assume most users will be wall mounting.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX720 55" 3D LED TV:
I researched TV's for about 18 months before deciding on the Sony. Samsung ran a very close 2nd in my choice. This TV has everything you could want, and the setup was very easy. Excellent picture resolution, the colors are dead on, especially skin colors. I'm a photographer and I was very concerned about colors. Took me 2 years and 4 computer monitors to finally get the colors right on my PC, but this TV was dead on right out of the box. My only gripe (and I learned that this is the case with most LCD TV's, is that the blacks are just a little too black in certain scenes, but I can live with that. Great TV!
