Product Highlights
  • 3.0 Neutral Density Filter
  • Increase Exposure Length
  • Rugged Black Brass Filter Ring
  • High Quality Schott Glass

The B+W 52mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 10 stop exposure. This 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image* and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

*Note: Due to the amount of additional exposure required to compensate for the density of this filter, some color shifts may occur. Individual testing is recommended before use.

3.0 ND filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
Providing a 10 stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

works great. Of course you have to focus before screwing on the filter as it is too dark to focus with the filter attached.

            Comments about B+W 52mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:

I shoot mostly with film so its a little more challenging to get those long exposure shots, but with this filter it makes things so much easier. I can leave my shutter open for minutes at a time in broad daylight and achieve the look im going for. Quality product at an affordable price.

This filter reduses a lot of light (10 Stops) allowing you to make long exposures during the day. Very well made, German glass.

                  Comments about B+W 52mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:

This filter was a great investment. I have only shot a few photographs using it, but I can tell that it has an endless amount of creative possibilities. The glass and metal construction is very high quality (as is to be expected from a B+W filter). I have not yet seen any flare caused by the filter. In most cases, it is hard to focus while the filter is attached, so I focus first and then put the filter on and expose. This really is not that big of a deal, and the results I have gotten have been all fantastic.

I use the filter for long exposure captures, particularly during the day when 30-second or longer exposures would be virtually impossible. The filter has fueled the creativity in my recent shots. For me there are no cons to the product; just the proviso that using a 10-stop filter means extra work in getting the right exposure, focus etc., but to me it's worth it.

                              Comments about B+W 52mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:

This filter does exactly what it's supposed to. It allows me to hold the shutter open much longer than normally; blurring whatever moves. It works great and keeps the image super sharp.
The only con is that it must be screwed onto the front of the lens after focusing, which sometimes twists the manual focus ring.

                                Comments about B+W 52mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:

The construction is solid. The glass is somewhat heavy, which is good. At broad daylight and with smallest aperture (f/22) and ISO100 I can get at least 60s worth of exposure time.
