FITS PERFECTLY! I love the Snug it Pro for the D7000. The bottom is open so you can get to the battery and the side is open so that you can get to the memory cards. The only thing I do not like about this product is that the buttons are all black where the camera buttons are black with white writing. It is difficult to see what it reads if you are in a dark area. Other than that, it is a great product and the camera is protected when it is not in a case.

I figured that this self-decribed "skin" would be similar to comparable devices for smart phones/tablets; namely, that it would be a thin, well fitting skin which either leaves operable areas exposed or functional. Upon arrival, I discovered that is not the case. The product is the antithesis of its name: it is not "snug" nor is it a "skin." The rubber is about as thin as my diving fin, fits loosely, and most fundamentally covers most camera body controls and renders them effectively unusable. Seriously, this "skin" appears to be made out of used mudflaps or truck tires...

Fortunately, B&H has a great return policy and I sent this back promptly for a full credit.

i expected a snug-fitting, semi-sticky skin simliar to what is now made for phones. in my mind, that would be perfect...giving a little more protection and grip.

what i got was useless. the rubber was loose on the body and somewhat slippery.

I perviously had a Nikon D80 with a rubber skin and it fit great. This Delkin skin was bought for my D7000 and doesn't fit as snug as the one I had for my D80. In fact it doesn't even hold the plastic screen protector in place. It has fallen out the bottom twice. Pretty disappointing.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Nikon D7000:

I bought this one because most of my photos are taken outdoors, and usually in extreme conditions in the field, like wet and moist situations. I usually take pictures of aquatic animais and am constantly having to deal with dust, sand, and moisture. This product seemed perfect for me and indeed it fitted perfectly in my Nikon D7000.

This protector is a great value for the money. The fit is tight and clean. All camera functions are easily accessed. I suspect with heavy use it will start to sag a bit, but at this price it can be easily replaced.

Does the job, I mean, it protect the camera like it should but not easy to fit with a battery grip. All the buttons works all right but the cercle with the 4 arrows to browse the photos into your lcd screen is really hard to press.

It's great. If i drop my camera again I can be at peace that its going to be intact. This small purchase can save you THOUSANDS in possible future repairs. The only problem is that it makes it difficult to hit some buttons while others are unaffected. It also makes it very difficult if not impossible to use the added Vello or Nikon extended battery pack because of how the protector wraps around the bottom of the camera. In the end amidst all the cons, the possible negative outcomes that it significantly reduces far outweighs the cons.

Wanted the other brand as that is what I had on the D80, but it's not available for the D7000. The Snug It Pro worked very well, has done its job of protecting my camera from minor incidents. The cutouts are well located, nothing interferes with the camera operation and the protector is well marked. All in all, a good buy.

Wanted to protect camera on trip to Galapagos. Main value to prevent damage to surface and dials from sunblock and insect repellent. Also a good gripping surface and protection from random sea spray. Fit is not tight enough to preclude sand entry and also obscures some markings. I will keep it on the camera, though.

Just put the skin on my D7000. Seems too slippery. Gonna give it a chance. Wish it was as thick as the original Camera Armor. We'll just have to wait and see. It did fit right on and there is ease to get to all the compartments and buttons. Different colors would be nice too.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Nikon D7000:

This is a great product, I'v always use a body armor on my cameras. They are very flexible and a perfect fit to all the buttons. There is a little dificulty with the dial on he back of the D7000 but it is because Nikon design the button very close to each other. But a little bit of pressure and its OK. I have an armore for my D80 and D300 alway easy to work with, you forget it is there.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Nikon D7000:

Fits good, not tight and the rubber is not super thick but will keep the camera protected from minor dings and drops. I cracked the top lcd screen(thank goodness for protection plan) but had I had the skin on this I don't that would have happened as it would have kept the screen from impacting with the wall.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Nikon D7000:

I had a camera armour on my D60 so when I had to replace my camera. I got the D7000. As experience would have it, I used it without the camera armour & decided I had to have one of these on my camera again. It fits great! The silicone is very soft so it was really easy to put on. *Note - put it on BEFORE you put the strap on.
Anyway, if you are in the elements alot it really saves your camera from getting dusty & scratched up.
I tried this when I was taking photos at a Motocross race last year. Before I had the silicone on it my camera got so dusty that it was hard to get all the dust out of the textured camera body even using an air compressor.
I would recommend this for any DSLR that this is available for.
