Comments about Sony RMNU1 HomeShare Wi-Fi/IR Touch Panel Display:

Obviously this is one of Sony's unique remote controller through wifi/dlna. The touch screen is sometimes slow when you try and type in things, especially when you're configuring. Plus you cannot rearrange the devices in the order you want. So you're stuck scrolling through a very large list, if you've many devices added. Battery life is not very good. Every couple days you've to sit it on it's cradle (which is ok I guess). The most issue I have is many times learning doesn't work at all. It's so bizarre when it doesn't work, I've to program the remote first into my sony tablet S and then open up the same remote on the tablet and program it into this one. It's bizarre. Somehow the learning receiver is not very good.
The should have added some macro features (although it has activity, it is limited) where you can pretty much link any device sequence without limits.
It goes into standby rather quickly and no settings to control the time of the standby. So when you're watching something, suddenly you need to pickup the remote and change anything, you've to wait like 10-15 secs.
But it looks cool, works just ok. Obviously these are newer technolgies. Maybe couple years down the road, it could be better.

And also I think the signal is a bit weak. You literally have to point it straight and I don't think it can even bounce off walls.

They should have put a little more time into R&D.

Perfect. Does exactly what is proposed. Easy to use and program. Only problem is the lack of programmable shortcut keys for the desired item.
