As with all Glidetrack camera sliders, the Hybrid offers a sturdy and affordable alternative to more cumbersome dolly tracks, giving you the power to create smooth, Hollywood-style tracking shots. But this slider brings improved levels of smoothness to your camera movements by combining both traditional Drylin self-lubricating bearings with individual roller bearings. Unlike typical roller-bearing systems--which use dirt-attracting grease and noisy metal bearings--the Hybrid's specially designed rollers utilize an open architecture that's self-lubricating, dry-running, and can be easily swapped out or disassembled for cleaning. Cleaning is also easy: simply hold the parts under tap water or a quick blast of air--no tools required.

The unit's newly designed rubber feet are not only adjustable, but allow for shooting on inclines, uneven ground, and even upside down. Whether attached to a tripod (via the 1/4" or 3/8" mounting threads) or resting on a tabletop, the Hybrid makes the most of its simple, industrial-grade design to deliver smooth-as-glass motion. Its wide rails and heavy-grade construction make it ideal for medium-to-large DSLR/camcorder rigs using rod support systems, bringing a high-end look to productions large and small.

Incorporates both sliding AND roller bearings
Industrial grade rail made of hard anodized aluminium
Use with a double tripod setup, or standalone on its custom-made scratch-free feet.
Requires 4-5 times less force to move than the traditional Drylin liners.
Open architecture design uses individual, greaseless, self-lubricating plastic bearings and liners, which are quickly and easily swapped out if required.
Optimal performance ensured as the carriage can be taken apart, flushed, or blown clean then be ready for shooting in no time.
Adjustable high-grip, nonmarking rubber feet quickly compensate for uneven ground when shooting.
Can be used for a huge variety of shots, including: horizontally, vertically, on inclines, even upside down!

        Comments about Glidetrack Hybrid - 78" (2m):

I do a lot a real estate videography and wanted to add a slider to my gear to achieve some nice moving shots. I had initially purchased a little, cheap friction slider. It worked for the most part but required far too much time to get nice, stable shots, and it could usually only hold the camera by itself. Anything else was too much weight and it'd stick. I'd used a glidetrack hybrid in the past, and decided to take the leap. It was well worth it, the shots are beautifully stable. I went for the longest railing (78"), but it's nice to know I can just buy a shorter railing and use the same carriage seeing as the long rail can be a pain to transport. It's pricey, but you pay for the quality of build. Again, well worth it.

        Comments about Glidetrack Hybrid - 78" (2m):

Love it. Easy to use. 30 second setup. Very easy way to get some professional movements. The only negative is it is really long and doen't not break down smaller. I know this should be self explanatory as it is 78 inches (6 and half feet), but part of me thought the track would be in 2 pieces. No, I guess it is not as smooth that way.You also need a video tripod head that has a standard photography screw on the base. I didn't actually have that! 1 of my tripod heads was a ball head. Not very helpful. And the other was Manfrotto 504 head that has 75mm 3/8" Half Ball. That doesn't work...or if it can it takes some dismantling that I am not comfortable with.

        Comments about Glidetrack Hybrid - 78" (2m):

I use this product when I need to shoot a scene that involves dolly shot.
The beauty of this product, is the fact that it slides smoothly, and it takes 2 minutes of assembling in comparison to the Indie dolly, which is such a waste of time, when you need to shoot a scene that has slight dolly shot in it.

          great product
So easy to assemble and very smooth with my 7D camera. The tripod helped alot to get the heaight I wanted and so quick to set up - better than my dolly with tracks ect...which took a lot of time to assemble and pack up to move to the next location.
