Basic+ is a new creative imaging feature that makes it easy to create the image effects you want. It can be set with the Quick Control screen in Basic Zone modes. Basic+ provides two options:

The camera itself is a very entry level DSLR, that shows with the all plastic construction and lack of some bells and whistles.
Functionally it's an absolutely fine piece of gear and I have no regrets whatsoever about buying it.
The kit lens is a kit lens. Functional, but not going to cause you to pass out with it's superior quality.

My first entry-level camera, and loving it so far. I was picking between this and Nikon D3100, but the Nikon was too small in my hands. I don't have extremely big hands so I recommend picking up each camera and holding it if you're considering just between those two.
The shots have a 3D sort of quality to them and look lovely!
I have to give it more research but I'm having trouble with the video staying in focus on moving objects. Once focus is set it doesn't adjust well. Still working on that.

I wish it had external audio inputs for microphones, to do interviews for school web media. Very sharp pictures and great HD video almost as good as our very expensive Panasonic P2 Broadcast Video Cameras.
Works well with final cut pro 7 and studio 3.
Sound is the only issue with the camera, needs external hook ups.

The T3 is extremely easy to use and takes amazing pictures. The clarity and detail it has is better than and point and shoot camera and it is hard to imagjne that pictures can look any better. The only thing that wasnt as quicklyto come by as any other mode was he video mode but even that was a quick fix. I highly recommend this set up and camera to anyone who is a hobbyist photographer who wants a little more interaction in taking pictures on another level.

I am a brand new photographer enrolling in school and just starting to build up my equiptment aresanal. I needed a DSLR that I could start out with - and this certainly does the trick. Even as a newbee I learned very quickly that the next thing I purchase will be a new lens - The one that comes with the kit is bare bones and as I take pictures of my 2 yr old daughter I realize the zoom isn't what I'd like ( you have to sneak up on the 2 yr old crowd lol).

This camera is designed well and once you go over and learn the features, it is easy and intuitive to use. The lens works great for cropping and focusing. I had people tell me that my photos look like paintings. I have not found a negative and the fact that it is larger than a pocket sized digital point and shoot, is just a fact and not a problem: what you get is worth it, photos that are not warped or skewed.

This camera is userfriendly. The different functions make for a wide variety of use, in wide variety of circumstances. The LCD screen allows for quick reference of funtionality, and reviewing photos. Quick shutter speed, allows for continuous, quick succession photos - good for sporting events. Night photos come out great. And, for quick use, full-auto mode is great in any situation.

I take photos of Arizona's reptiles and landscapes and this camera helps achieve excellent results. The t3 has full user control and takes excellent photos in every situation I need it to. The only negative I can say about the camera is the 720p video limitation, but I won't be using it for video so it doesn't bother me. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought the refurbished T3 with 18-55mm lens kit, the camera that showed up here was brand new as far as I could tell. That's my plug for B&H.
The camera itself is a very entry level DSLR, that shows with the all plastic construction and lack of some bells and whistles.
Functionally it's an absolutely fine piece of gear and I have no regrets whatsoever about buying it.
The kit lens is a kit lens. Functional, but not going to cause you to pass out with it's superior quality.

The product is suit to beginner photographer. It's easy to use, not to much complex, but wish there were more function for who wants to advance their skills. But overall, I satisfy with the product.

My first entry-level camera, and loving it so far. I was picking between this and Nikon D3100, but the Nikon was too small in my hands. I don't have extremely big hands so I recommend picking up each camera and holding it if you're considering just between those two.
The shots have a 3D sort of quality to them and look lovely!
I have to give it more research but I'm having trouble with the video staying in focus on moving objects. Once focus is set it doesn't adjust well. Still working on that.

I wish it had external audio inputs for microphones, to do interviews for school web media. Very sharp pictures and great HD video almost as good as our very expensive Panasonic P2 Broadcast Video Cameras.
Works well with final cut pro 7 and studio 3.
Sound is the only issue with the camera, needs external hook ups.

The EOS Rebel T3 is really easy to use, even though I have little experience and the shots in low light are absolutely amazing. The relatively low price included the lens. The T3 is extremely easy to use and takes amazing pictures. The clarity and detail it has is better than and point and shoot camera and it is hard to imagjne that pictures can look any better. The only thing that wasnt as quicklyto come by as any other mode was he video mode but even that was a quick fix. I highly recommend this set up and camera to anyone who is a hobbyist photographer who wants a little more interaction in taking pictures on another level.

I am a brand new photographer enrolling in school and just starting to build up my equiptment aresanal. I needed a DSLR that I could start out with - and this certainly does the trick. Even as a newbee I learned very quickly that the next thing I purchase will be a new lens - The one that comes with the kit is bare bones and as I take pictures of my 2 yr old daughter I realize the zoom isn't what I'd like ( you have to sneak up on the 2 yr old crowd lol).

This camera is designed well and once you go over and learn the features, it is easy and intuitive to use. The lens works great for cropping and focusing. I had people tell me that my photos look like paintings. I have not found a negative and the fact that it is larger than a pocket sized digital point and shoot, is just a fact and not a problem: what you get is worth it, photos that are not warped or skewed.
