The K&M iPad 1 Mic Stand Holder allows users to clip an iPad into a secure holder, which can be attached to a mic stand. Clipping an iPad into the holder is quick and easy. It snaps into place and can be removed by simply snapping it out of the secure arms. The iPad holder is designed to screw onto the end of a standard mic stand and once attached, it can be conveniently turned and secured in any position throughout the 90° range. As an added convenience, the tilt of the iPad Mic Stand Holder can be customized using the provided wing nut.

I was looking for something very sturdy and easy to use for my iPad... I didn't want it to be flimsy in any way, you know, I would hate to have my iPad fall over on stage at any time. This iPad holder is very easy to use and set up and is extremely sturdy. It's very easy to change the iPad from portrait to landscape.

I use my iPad and Onsong app for all of my words and music in church. I used to just place the iPad on the music stand, but didn't like the bulky look. I went ahead and ordered this product and I love it! Its sleek, low profile, and does the job! I especially like how it flips either vertically or horizontally. If you're still using the iPad 1 and are looking for a stand for it...you've found what you're looking for :)

I bought this for use with the 1st generation iPad and it is a perfect fit. Putting the iPad in or taking it out is a 2 hand job, but easy to do. All functions and in/out ports on the iPad are available.
If there is a challenge in using it, it would be to find a stand that can take the top heavy weight and the hands on use of the iPad (since an iPad is easily 3 to 4 times the heavier than a microphone). Wind might also be a consideration in some situations. Plan ahead!
