I bought this model 46in from BH about 8 months ago and this tv is exceptional.The GORIILA panel is very thin , like a cristal and the resolution , the contrast and the colors are awesome.The movement is perfect due to the 240hz and of course you need a good HDcable to apreciate the real quality of the imagen Audio is OK , no need of any extra speakers unless you really like extra sound like in the cinema .Internet options are a good feature and 3D is excellent for kids and a litle tiring for the seeing. Just for try once , but for watching tv and playing movies this is the best investment people can do. LOVE IT

Hi,
I am professional photographer and I bought that TV to display my pictures (as I do on my 21" Samsung monitors)
Warning: the TV will NOT DISPLAY any picture file that have been modified from the original (cropt, re-sized,etc...).
I contacted SONY, they told me that the TV can only diplay picture in "original camera" format.
So, if you're looking for a TV that will give you beautifull giant slideshows, that's not the one !
For everything else, movies, DVDs, internet, the TV is great !
I hope my review will help other photographers.

That is a great image quality TV (the sound quality could be better).
I'm a photographer and the main reason why I bought that TV is to be able to watch my pictures on the 46" HD screen.
But the TV won't display any picture file that have been modified (croping, resized, etc...)
I contacted Sony and also downloaded the lastest firmware without been able to fix the problem.
Again, great TV but not for pictures !

I buy 2-3 tvs a year, 19 to 58 inches,lcds,leds and plasmas. I have 8 in use now. I bought this tv to replace a 37 sony xbr in my home office. I love this tv.I would rate it with anything on the market.Yea i know what all the ratings and reviews are but i am a tv junkie and i know what works for me. BT

The is beautiful designed television that has a great picture. I am very impressed with this television as I also have a Samsung D7000 plasma and I think that this TV produces a better picture but the plasma has better picture uniformity and 3D. If you tilt you head while watching 3D you will see ghosting on this TV. The picture is great but black level can range from dark grey to absolute black depending on what is being display on screen and the TV settings. Make sure you have the dynamic dimming LED on. Another odd issue that I have is that I have to hit the power button twice to turn on the television when I turn it on from the TV itself. Not sure why? The TV supports wifi (B,G, and N) but only on 2.4 GHZ which is not to bad but it would be nice if they supported 5GHZ which can sometimes support greater throughput. This TV has many options for network streaming but like all Sony's you have register the TV with Sony before you use these services. This make no sense! I would like to rate this TV 4.5 because it is great television with a few small flaws but has a fantastic picture that only fails when compared to the HX929 which supports full array LED which this TV does not have.

This TV is absolutely fantastic!!! The colors are vibrant in color... It also has Motion-Flow 240hz Technology (up to 480hz) for great detail for fast paced action with sports or other fast moving action scenes... This 3D-HD-TV also incorporates "Corning Gorilla Glass" non-glare screen for superb images in high lighting situations...
