This is exactly what I was looking for as I expanded into cell phone photography. The Quik Pod Mobile holds my Droid 4 to my tri-pod, allowing me perfectly still picture taking with HDR+ and FV5 for Android. My Droid 4 can easily fit snuggly into place, or be removed without damage to the phone.

I discovered that the iPhone 4S camera was far superior to my other expenses HD consumer camcorders so I wanted a little rig.First of all, if you intend to shoot standard wide screen then you'll need to turn your phone sideways. This means you need a ballhead tripod because the head will have to be at 90 degrees so the phone is dead on.I find that very few contraptions and adpters for phones work with cases. I have an Otterbox for my iPhone 4S and it's important to me to leave that thing on at all times, plus it's a pain to get on and off.I had to crank this adapter to it's max width and tape up one side with gaffer's tape to prevent the plastic edge from ripping a hole in the rubber of my Otterbox case. It now seems secure and the rig with a Rode shotgun mic and external mic adapter gives this set up great sound and video.

This is a well made excellent adapter. It expands to fit my extra large smartphone (Droid Bionnic). I previously bought a cheap adapter online and it broke within 2 minutes(no kidding). This one works great and has been through some tough use..it never fails me. Everytime I go out with it (large group events, outdoors, livestreaming where I am walking miles, even running) it holds up and people ask about it! If you want to use your smartphone as a camera, camcorder or for live streaming...THIS is what you need!

I am a citizen journalist ustereamer/livestreamer and just bought and used this adapter for the first time. I have a Droid bionic cell phone which is larger than most. This adapter fit perfectly (without the phone case). It held it steady on a small hand held monopod while running through a crowd streaming and walking for miles. Before this I previously bought an adapter online that was supposed to do the same thing but broke in less than 2 minutes because it was held together only by a small spring. THIS adapter is perfect for all cell pohne users, even under strenuous conditions. Service at B & H was excellent. I even tried out this adapter on my phone and shook it back and forth before buying to make sure it would hold up and it did! Excellent purchase and well worth it for the price.

If your into time exposure photography with a iphone then this is a must have accessory for your iphone. The build is strong for plastic, comes with case and it fits in your coat pocket. any small table top tripod will handle the weight with the phone connected to it.

I am using this to hold on my Ipod while I am doing photo or panorama on a tripod.
Work very well.

I just hook up the Tripod plate to the Quick Pod and can quickly mount it on my tripod head.

Mechanism is working well. I look forward to use this many more time. It work just as described.

I purchased this to use with my Gorillamobile (for 3Gs) and iPhone 4. I don't have to remove the phone's case to use it and a good alternative to having to purchase a new Gorillamobile for iPhone 4, using the tripod screw mount. It seems well made and holds the phone quite well in landscape position.
