The Sony Accessory Kit for Cyber-shot Camera comes with an NP-FG1 rechargeable battery pack so you'll have extra power for your camera when needed. The NP-FG1 battery features Sony's InfoLITHIUM system that shows remaining battery time on the camera's LCD or viewfinder (for camera models that support InfoLITHIUM features only). This way you'll know when to recharge it before the battery completely drains.
This kit also comes with a high-speed HDMI cable so you can view camera images in HD quality on the latest large screen HD televisions.

Comments about Sony Accessory Kit for Cyber-shot Camera with NP-FG1 and HDMI Cable:
Battery seems to last longer (about 50 shots more) than the stock that comes with the HX9V. Although charge time seems longer.
Cable is very useful when using the built-in Slideshow feature to show off pictures from your travels.

Comments about Sony Accessory Kit for Cyber-shot Camera with NP-FG1 and HDMI Cable:
The battery is an improvement on the NP-BG1 that came with my Sony camera. Neither charge quickly. That's one reason that I need three. Reviewing photos and especially movies directly on my HD TV is the greatest pleasure using the HDMI cable. And useful. I see detail never easily seen on my smaller computer screen. Both these accessories have worked for a few weeks so far.

Comments about Sony Accessory Kit for Cyber-shot Camera with NP-FG1 and HDMI Cable:
Of course this kit was purchased for use with a Sony DSC-HXV9. This very capable camera does require a lot of power and a second battery is a must. The HDMI cable allows connection directly between the camera and the TV we and just leave it connected and coiled up behind the set. It is seamless to use as the TV automatically recognizes the camera and shifts to this HDMI port. Then, the camera controls the presentation of photos and video complete with audio. Wow, the video is really good.
