I am a semi-retired 85 year old third generation portrait photographer and at this time of my life still use 4x5 black and white film and the Ilford Warmtone FB paper for portraits. For years I have used it with Kodak Dektol or Selectorl soft. Last month I decided to see how the Ilford Harman warm tone developer would differ from what I have been using. There is a considerable increase in the D=-Max. It's the Harman from here on. Hans Jonas F.R.P.S.

I am personally not satisfied with the warmtone paper. If you like your paper to be warmer than that's fine, but I want my whites to be stark white. Like most paper, this product will dry darker so make sure you compensate for that in the dark room.

Comments about Ilford Multigrade FB Warmtone Fiber Base Paper (8 x 10', 25 Sheets, Glossy):

Consistently excellent, I've used this since it came out. Very flexible depending on the developer and toner you use. If you are not toning this paper you are not using it correctly. I wish it was cheaper.

I used the warm tone paper with selectol soft developer and it turned out beautifully. The paper was not fogged like the last box of paper that I had which I bought elsewhere.

                            It was very nice!
