The Nighthunter XP 8x56 Roof Prism Binocular from Steiner provides an exceptional amount of light transmission across the entire visible spectrum. You can see the difference when light is poor. While its performance in any light is unique, it is in twilight that the Nighthunter XP Roof Prism Binocular is especially appreciated. Living up to its name of Night Hunter, you can start earlier in the pre-dawn light and watch longer into the evening. This 8x56 model is powerful and rugged with great "seeing" capacity.

Steiner's hard-coated, water-repelling NANO-Protection, helps shed water, dust, and debris from the eyepieces and objectives. Fogging is reduced and rain and snow simply slip off the objectives and oculars. The high-density and XP lens coatings deliver dramatically brighter images. The Nighthunters transmit light across a very wide part of the human eye color spectrum making your eyes more nocturnal. You can see greater detail in lower light or even darkness.

The Nighthunter XP 8x56 Roof Prism Binocular has durable rubber armor for a sure grip and extra protection. It is purged and pressurized to 14 psi with dry nitrogen and argon gas to ensure crisp, clear images in severe weather conditions. It is constructed to U.S. military spec. standards for shock, fog, and waterproof performance.

Comments about Steiner Nighthunter XP 8x56 Roof Prism Binocular:

High quality in optics does cost more than low quality. I spent years considering parting with the better part of $1000 for this pair of binoculars. I'm happy to report there are zero regrets -- they are absolutely as good as the Steiner ads say they are. I have done some stargazing, and some bird watching, and they are great both in the night and in full sunlight. No regrets -- I paid a lot of money and I got a most impressive product.

Comments about Steiner Nighthunter XP 8x56 Roof Prism Binocular:

I've owned almost every high end German binocular made. These Steiner's give the user the ability to see in very low light conditions with perfect clarity. Do not pass up the opportunity to view these side by side with any other binocular made. They're that good!
