Product Highlights
  • Includes PU-70 Camera Plate
  • Arca-Style Quick Release System
  • For Monopod or Tripod Head w/o QR System
  • Accepts 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 Screw

The Induro QRT70 Quick Release Clamp is an Arca-Swiss-style quick-release clamp that comes with a compatible 2 x 2.8" camera plate with a standard 1/4"-20 screw for mounting most cameras. The clamp mounts to an existing tripod head or monopod, especially one that does not feature a quick-release system, so you can easily attach a camera and remove it from your support. For mounting to a tripod head or monopod, the QRT70 clamp is compatible with standard 3/8"-16 screws and, via its included adapter, 1/4"-20 screws.

The QRT70 clamp comes with the PU-70 plate, but its Arca-style twist-lock is compatible with other plate sizes as well, allowing you to match your specific camera/lens setup to the optimal size and brand of dovetail plate. A double-action safety lock enables the plate to slide and adjust within the clamp for proper positioning, without the plate & camera sliding all the way out of the clamp.

This is a very sturdy quick release mount that will hold a heavy camera, a large lens, or a spotting scope with no problems. I bought it for my older Manfrotto tripod on the advice of a B&H sales person who was given the model numbers of my tripod and head, but when it arrived the platform of my swivel head was so broad the tightening screw on the QR mount collided with the platform. I had to raise the QR mount up a few mm with washers and some rubber material to make the mount work. This then required the search for a long D-ring tripod screw, which B&H doesn't carry. In short: it's a great mount, but be sure it is compatible with your tripod head!!

I ordered this item beacuse the product photo shows the Quick Release Clamp comes with a Plate. However I only received a junk clamp. Not only the plate was not included but also the clamp itself doesn't have any thread in the middle hole. It is totally an useless junk. I wonder how they can ship a product like this. The qility control apparently is pretty much poorly. Stay away this maker!

Comments about Induro QRT70 Quick Release Clamp:

I purchased this so I could quit swapping quick release plates all the time. I have Benro tripod with a arca type mount and an manfrotto tripod with and RC2 quick release. By mounting this to the RC2 quick release, I no longer need to switch the plates on the camera and I no longer have to take an inventory before going on a shoot to make sure I have the right QR plate.

Obviously I now have two QR plates mounted on the tripod, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience.

Mine did include the plate as described.

I docked it one star since this is pretty expensive for what it is.

Comments about Induro QRT70 Quick Release Clamp:

I recently bough a couple of these after buying one. I love it. It helps me keep all my ball heads and quick release from other manufacturers uniform letting me keep an Arca Swiss compatible plate on all my gear. I hated going back and forth from my manfrotto, gitzo and induro gear, now I don't have to. Granted it adds a bit of heft to whatever you are mounting it too, but come on if were going to complain about hard work and heavy gear, stop shooting. ;) Love it. Great for monopods and I really love this on my ABR800 ring light. Lets me mount my entire body, lens and light right to my tripods. Simple fix, great solution.

I purchased this QR in the hopes it would be useable as a replacement for a lever lock on a ball head. This QR is designed for a tripod or monopod that does not have a QR. I decided to keep it because even though it did not fit MY intentions, I was able to use it on my 20+ year old Manfrotto (Bogen) monopod. The QR base is threaded to mount on tripod legs or a monopod, it even has a reducer bushing so it can mount on virtually any leg set. the plate it comes with is a very nice size and it locks up nice and tight.
