I use this wifi adapter with an onkyo ht-rc360. It's wonderful little product fast shipment. I went through B & H because other audio stores told me it onkyo didn't even make this product. Plug it into the front of your receiver and it will automatically recognize and press the USB function on the remote. Works well with my Internet radio so far. Pandora is always the main dj at my parties. My main dislike is that I have to purchase it separately and it didn't come with the expensive *** receiver.

I saw all of the traffic on the Onkyo support site from last year indicating that people were having a really bad time with the wireless adapter. I thought for sure Onkyo had fixed these issues over the course of the past year. I was sadly mistaken and have experienced all of the failing connectivity symptoms described by many other users. After resetting and fiddling for a couple of weeks, I've abandoned the UWF-1, removing it from my receiver and implementing an old Cisco WET610N plugged into the receiver's ethernet port. Works fine... I wouldn't suggetst the UWF-1 to anyone at this point.

Comments about Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN USB Adapter:
I used the manual setup and it was easy as all I had to enter was my logon for my wifi. The automatic way would did not work for me. I am at around 25 ft. from the transmitter and the receiver said I am getting an 80% signal. It takes up the USB plug on the front of the receiver, but if you need it for playing from a flash drive, removing the wifi dongle won't make it forget your logons. Works like a charm.

This is a definite requirement if you want to connect to your home network wirelessly! I wouldn't buy the Onkyo TX-8050 Network Stereo A/V Receiver without it!

Comments about Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN USB Adapter:
Had a difficult time getting it hooked up with the instructions that came with it. I finally got it going using Pandora as a source. Fidelity is excellent. It does seem to have some buffering problems. The music stops for several seconds and then restarts by repeating the previous section. Have not had the time to see if there is a solutions.

Due to my home theater space, I needed wireless to get internet access to my receiver. This adapter plugs right into the receiver and has been working well, though I believe it should be included with the receiver.

Comments about Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN USB Adapter:
Purchased this go go with my new Onyko NR 717...Works seamlessly and very easy to set up... Keep in mind that on the NR717 there are two USB connectors (Front, Back)..This will NOT work on the rear USB adaptor. This makes it less convenient for connecting a USB connected device to the receiver..There is NO reason why Sanyo couldn't make this work on either port but they selected "front" only.. Poor design! (receiver design issue)

Comments about Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN USB Adapter:
I purchased this for my Onkyo TX-NR609 receiver and after updating the reciever's firmware, I have been able to stream music from my PC with relatively no trouble.
The only issue I have, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is the adapter occasionally has to rebuffer mid-song. This could be due to my router as well, but other reviews on this product complain about its ability to connect to a wireless network.
Overall a great product, well worth the money.
