The LG 47LW6500 47" 1080p 3D LED TV is up to the challenge of displaying Blu-ray native 3D discs or turning your 2D content into an immersive experience. Just add optional 3D shutter glasses. The combination of Dynamic Contrast (which delivers a ratio of 9,000,000:1) and full 1080p HD makes the 47LW6500 a remarkable TV by any standard but we're just getting started.
Since every room is different, the 47LW6500 automatically calibrates the optimal settings to match the color and light level of your specific space. The 47LW6500 is also ISFccc Ready, meaning that it can be professionally calibrated to your specs and the settings saved as a preset. You can switch back and forth from the factory settings with the push of a button.
The 47LW6500's wide connectivity, which includes four HDMI connections, enables one-cable connection of your A/V components. The two USB inputs allow you to share JPEG slide shows and videos (including DivX HD) with your friends. Real Cinema technology displays HD movies just as they were shot in 24p (24 fps) for an authentic theater experience at home, while Clear Voice II balances the voice channel in relation to swelling music or background noise, so you never miss a word of dialogue.
In addition to all of the above, the 47LW6500 is loaded with convenience features like a sleep timer, parental control, closed captioning A/V input labeling and favorite channel programming. Lastly, Energy Star compliance means that you'll be saving money while helping to save the environment.

I purchased this TV online by checking its specs and photos online. All the specs are great. Picture quality, 3D and 2D-to-3D is amazing. The only thing is it doesn't look as fancy as it does in the pictures online. The TV stand looks in the pictures as it is made of glass but surprisingly its type of hard plastic. My friend has a Samsung D6000 and it looks much better than this one.

The picture quality on HD tv shows is great. The audio sound is much worse than my old TV. I guess all super thin tv's have that problem. I turn down the tv speakers and use my receiver sound only. Audio out on the tv is only via optical. I hooked up my computer to the tv and watch movies stored on the computer. Overall good. Blacks could be blacker.

I had great expectations for this tv when I ordered It. I have been looking around for a while and had alomost bought an older model that was only 120hz.But I was waiting for the newer models as I was tired of always buyng older technology. This tv is great the setup was easy, the hookup to my network worked flawlessly, picture and sound ore great, but the 3d is amazing. The fact that I can use less expensive glasses and get a better experience than the theater is amazing.I saw avatar in the movies and was impressed by the 3d effects but I just watched it on my own 3d tv and it was just awesome. I watched the NBA playoffs in 3d and that was great, I converted an 2d Yankee game to 3d and that was amazing.I also got a the best price [...] form B&h Photo.Just go get this TV
