The Novoflex MagicBalance Leveling Ball is a compact leveling head that tilts 15° in any direction, so you can orient your DSLR camera as you shoot on uneven ground, or while using a gimbal head or a panorama system.

A twist of the fixing screw enables you to make adjustments using just one hand. The MagicBalance's ingenious design is that of a half-ball in a socket. The small and sturdy leveling head is virtually maintenance-free and moves easily.

Its compact design (only 1.7" high and 2.4" in diameter) and rock-solid leveling make the head ideal for gimbal heads, for which topside clearance is an issue, or for 3D cameras.

    Great replacement for ball head

Comments about Novoflex MagicBalance Leveling Ball:

I use this as an option on my Novoflex Basicball. The kit fits in a camera bag and can support a pro camera with large lens. This levelling ball works for most telephoto use as it is rare to need steep angles. If I need something steeper the tripod legs can be adjusted to tilt it a bit more. The lower height then a full ball head works to keep the weight closer to the compact legs on the mini Basicball tripod making it stable with almost any size heavy lens. This thing locks in solid with no movement with even the heaviest equipment. It is rare to find a mini tripod setup that fits in a camera bag and handles the heaviest camera and lens combinations. Novoflex is expensive but the quality you feel right away is rare to find.
