There are very few wireless Gamepads available for the PC.
Since I have 3 Logitech products on my desktop it was not difficult to chose this one. And the small wireless receptors have been working great for me.
The game pad fits comfortable on my hands with textures that do not allow it to slip. It is no heavy but not very light, has a weight I like.
The only con or improvement I can think off is to make it work with the Logitech Unify receiver technology. The receptor it has does not work with my keyboard or mouse also from Logitech. This has made me have two receptors connected at the same time.
Battery life is good and with a couple of rechargeable AA batteries you have a great combo.
Hope that helps.

I am practically in-love with this controller. Let me first say that I am a console gamer. Xbox specifically. I love this controller because although it is in PS3 layout, the actual button feel is xbox. On top of that the black grip around the back is extremely comfortable in your hands and the nice weight of the controller makes it feel as if you're not holding a cheap piece of plastic. Its simply great.

Comments about Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad:
Gamepad connected up and worked right off the bat! I am running Windows 8 and expected problems with the Logitech Wireless F710. If you get one and it does not work you probably need the driver. This is available for free download at the Logitech support site. I had purchased a used gamepad and spent hours with WINDOW 8 drivers until I finally decided the gamepad was defective and returned it. Play it safe and buy a new one or have the shipper verify that it does definitely work. You can test the gamepad easily by using the control panel devices screen. A gamepad icon should show up. Click on that and you can find a way to test the device. THE LOGITECH F710 GAMEPAD IS INDEED COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 8.

Comments about Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad:
I bought two Logitech F510s. I used Logitech Rumblepad 2 for about 2 years and when it broke I was looking for a replacement. I saw F510 and it seemed like a natural choice except that the reviews said that it had problems with its wireless reception. I looked at other gamepads too but decided to stick with Logitech. And I couldn't be more glad that I did. For me, I have not yet experienced any problems with wireless reception even though I don't use the cord extender and the nano receiver isn't facing the gamepad. I do have to say that I play very close to my laptop (1-2m/2-4ft). But for me, the familiar feel of F510 in my hands, good button layout, and seamless wireless connection just explains why I keep buying Logitech products.
One bad thing I did notice is that RT and LT are indeed quite heavy. Also, RB and LB don't feel very smooth unlike on Rumblepad 2. I don't use RT and LT that much but if you do, I would think you might want to take this into account

I recently purchased a F710 Wireless Gamepad by Logitech from B&H photo/video. I use this gamepad everyday and it was shipped to my house in just 3 days! I hope to buy from B&H soon! Thanks!

It's quite snappy during gamplay of both Final Fantasy XIV and Tera Online (which is a very action and speed dependant game). Auto-Turns off to save battery life. Very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this for my brother due to his controller having limited compatibility. Was very easy to install, windows recognized it right away, installed and away he went. No issues with any of the games he plays. Has great range and comfortable grip. Nothing bad at all with this controller.

Some minor difficulties during install- Needed to be in X-Input Mode to be recognized properly. Usually recognized (in games and Windows 7) as the XBox 360 Controller- Windows Update will also try to install the XBox 360 controller driver.

I own many Logitech devices and this is yet another example of their commitment to quality and a user friendly design. The nano receiver is compact. The button feel and tactile responsiveness is phenomenal. The compatibility is stellar. All around just a great product.
