Record hands-free with the Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder. The digital recorder has 4GB of internal memory and features the Variable Control Voice Actuator, which triggers recording by voice or sound rather than the push of a button. The DM-620's Tresmic 3 microphone system yields high-quality, lucid recordings with amazing voice authenticity and also affords the capture of lower bass ranges with impressive clarity. For more elaborate recording setups, there's a mic input as well. If 4GB of memory isn't enough, the DM-620 has a microSD card slot, which can expand the memory capacity another 32GB.
Olympus has equipped the DM-620 to record and play back in PCM (WAV), MP3 and WMA file formats. You can automatically adjust the recording settings depending on your environment. Plus, the LCD display guides you with voice commands for effortless operation. Once you've made your recordings with the DM-620, you can use the Olympus Sonority software for sound editing, file management and even Podcast management. As an added convenience, the Olympus software is compatible with both PC and Mac OS.

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
I record a wireless mic and it performs very well. The functionality looks complex at first but is pretty easy after reading the instructions.

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
This is my second Olympus recorder. My first was a DM-1 which I bought many years ago and it still works fine. This DM-620 is a gift from a personal friend not connected in any way to Olympus. I use these recorders strictly for conferences and to record my dreams: no music,or storage. I bought the DM-620 because it's acoustic performance greatly exceeds that of the DM-1 in the conference room. On the down side the operating instruction manual stinks (to put it politely)as to it's organization and clarity. The sequence of keys to push to navigate the system are capricious at best and the print on the monitor is barely visible even with my reading glasses and magnifying glass.

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
I've just begun using this recorder, but after some initial testing, have found it to be an excellent device. It is very sensitive and produces outstanding recordings. The menus and more intricate controls are not exactly intuitive, but the manual which is available from Olympus seems to cover everything.

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
I owned an Olympus DS 40 for many years, and I really loved that recorder. I tried to find it again recently, but it's not manufactured anymore. So I decided on the Olympus DM 620 PCM, I am pretty satisfied with this recorder. I like that it has alot of memory built in, and you can also get more memory added. That wasn't true of the DS40. I like the downloading technology of the DM 620. I also like the size, weight and casing. It has an extra mike, which is great. I must say that I think the sound quality of the DS 40 was slightly better, though it only had two microphones. I use the DM 620 recorder to tape lectures, sessions by phone, and personal notes, though I have not tried music yet on the DM620. The DS 40 was pretty good with music. All in all I'm pretty happy with the DM 620 and would recommend it highly.

Great sound, easy to use; logical menu system. Was able to record remarkably clear sound from a meeting (more than 20 persons) even when I had it in a pocket in my sweater!

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
I bought this recorder for my son who is a med student, I decided to give it to him already charged and ready use (since he always in a hurry!!)
The instructions were easy to read and follow.
I taped my voice near and from a distance-15 feet- and the sound was very clear. I even placed myself sideways (at an angle) with same results.
Managing and editing recordings is easy and you could put them away in folders -this makes it easy to find.
Downloading recording to computer is through USB port and very easy once you install the CD program that comes with recorder.
Great value for price.
You can charge batteries by attaching cord to computer (takes away the need to open, remove batteries, charge and re-insert)

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
The DM-620 PCM is a great, low-cost voice recorder suitable for a wide range of uses.
I have used it to record high-quality audio for use in documentary films and interviews.
It offers a number of sophisticated features and refined settings, which I've yet to explore. For basic recording purposes, it is very self-explanatory and relatively easy-to-use.
I'd recommend purchasing this product if you require a digital voice recorder that offers high quality audio, feature-rich programming, and doesn't cost too much.

Comments about Olympus DM-620 PCM Recorder:
We use for my wife practice with guitar and voice. The 620 produces very good recordings. The metalic case is very well finished and it seems to be solid. The 3rd mic really works for the low frequency notes.
