Comments about Metz mecablitz 24AF-1 Digital Flash for Canon Camera:
I bought this as small flash to use with the Canon 6D just to provide fill flash on family outings where I didn't want to pack the 580EXII or 600EXRT. For that it's a grart little flash. It'super simple and has basically no control on it but it does handle all the standard camera functions except wireless and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the head does bounce (no swivel though). You can't tell that it bounces in the picture but the reflector rotates up. The latch is simple, fast and effective. The latch looks a bit flimsey for Metz but I still see it as low risk of breaking for how I would see this being used. Would this make a good prime flash for a pro wedding photgrapher or photojournalist, no, but for the market it is intended, it's a great little flash.

Put it to work right out of the box. I have a Canon T3. This is my first Canon DSLR. The Metz flash is a perfect companion. I am only just beginning to get a grasp of the camera's potential. The Metz flash has performed flawlessly providing just the right amount of light. Used it extensively over the holidays. I really like it.
