The Alert 700e Add-On Camera (Outdoor) is used as an additional camera to an existing Alert Master system, thus expanding your CCTV network. Offering a resolution up to 960 x 720 pixels at 15 fps frame speed, it helps you to recognize people and objects.
HomePlug networking technology allows you to use your existing electrical wiring and outlets for networking and transmitting video data, thereby eliminating any need for extra wiring. The 700e add-on camera comes bundled with a wall mount bracket, and can be mounted on a wall, under a soffit, or on a post.
Motion-triggered recording feature can start recording when the camera detects motion. The Alert 700e camera can be set to alert you on your mobile or by emails when motion is detected. For more precise motion detection and less false alarms, the add-on camera features up to 16 programmable motion-detection zones.
When connected to a PC, the camera feed can be automatically recorded and archived in the computer’s hard disk. However, you can use a microSD/SDHC card to record video even when your PC is turned off. The included 2 GB card allows you to record approximately a week’s video footage. A built-in microphone allows the 700e add-on camera to record audio.
Equipped with a Night Vision feature aided by IR illumination, the camera allows you to monitor in complete darkness. The IP55-rated waterproofing and an operating temperature range of -22 to 120º F (-30 to +50º C) make the camera ideal for outdoor application. Logitech’s secure site allows you to watch live camera feeds from an Internet-connected computer from anywhere in the world. Free mobile apps from the manufacturer allow you to view the feeds on your iPhone/Blackberry/Android enabled mobile phones. Videos can also be watched on Google TV systems free of cost. The expandable CCTV network allows connecting up to 6 cameras.

Adding this camera to an already functioning was easy but it only worked in the daylight and not in the dark. As a security system that leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to work your way through the online help to the proper place is a disaster. Finally, the best way is to call the help number and then they are very helpful. we will see if the new cord they send solves the problem
