The Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit is a great way to harness the power of 4 on-camera flashes to create a high-output portable or studio light source. The sturdy bracket fits on a standard 5/8" stud and has ample room for radio slave receivers. Alternately, you can use the flash's optical slave to fire them off in a chain reaction.
Up and working in less than one minute, the included Ezybox 4 collapsible Lastolite panels are stitched together to form a softbox which pops up in seconds when needed, yet folds to a fraction of its size.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
I bought this to have the capability of multi-unit flash on location (or in the studio). Being able to use 1 to 4 flashes in a single box adds great flexibility. It is big, but then if you want soft...
Have not had a chance to use it yet in a shoot, but expect great things from this kit. The back of the box fabric fits tight around the mount. I worried at first I'd rip the seams, but it went on without incident, and has been up on a stand for over a week with no sagging or other mount issues.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
Well made, easy to set up, throws nice even light, and packs into two small round bags that are easier (in my opinion) to travel with than the large flat bag the 24x24 Ezbox comes with. The frame on the back that holds up to 4 speedlights is strong and easy to snap into the softbox. Once your speedlights are inside, it's not easy to adjust them, making this a friendlier softbox for setups where you can adjust the flash power from the master, or where you know in advance what power setting you want to use. The quality of light is excellent. If you are new to softboxes, this is a great one to start with, or the 24x24.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
I was able to get the QUAD flash kit to fit 4 Nikon SB900s with PW FlexTT5s. Produced slightly hot images, so I had to tune it down a little bit it was a good set up. Rather heavy for a VAL, so make sure you have a strong one!

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
This is the best on location soft box I have ever used, and it folds up into an amazingly compact size. With that said, this unit is well built but it is a big and heavy soft box that requires a heavy duty light stand with a wide foot print and sand bags if used outdoors, and about 5 minutes set up time. It is very deep and it has plenty of room for my 4 SB-600s, even when mounted on 4 Pocket Wizard FlexTT5's. The flash units mount outside and there is not a lot of room to access the controls, but they are accessible. The cold shoes are just ok, they are sturdy but require excessive force to mount the PW's due to their slide in tension type design. My application for it is Bride and Groom portraits, and for one or two person portraits and considering that it houses speedlights, it is a very powerful and extremely soft light source.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
The bracket does NOT need to be bolted together for every use with an allen wrench (despite the other review). The assembled hotshoe mount fits in one bag, and the folded softbox fits in another bag just a bit bigger. The softbox not only folds but collapses like other spring-steel backgrounds or reflectors so that the final travel size is about a foot in diameter. The build quality seems good. There are two layers of diffusion cloth. The light is diffused well as a result. It is tight fit but the 580EX II's work well. The Lastolite rep I contacted states that the 36" Quad flash will work with the 36" Ezybox Studio grid... we shall see. I will review that item and advise when we try that out.

I'm using at home studio and for locations shoots with my SB900s.
It was very easy to set up (without instructions)...the light quality is very good and change the settings in the SB900 mounted are easy. Great desing!
The only thing are not great is the bag for the quad bracket. If the quad flash bracket is mounted it not fit in the bag. To dismount you have to use the allen key (comes with the kit), but this is not practical.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox 36 x 36" Quad Flash Kit:
I needed to find an easily portable, high quality softbbox and this fit my needs exactly. I bought this product mostly for indoor studio portraits but do intend to take this outdoors when needed. So far, I am very pleased with the product. The softbox comes with both an inner and outer diffusor which I find to be key in adjusting the light exactly how I want it. The flashes sit on the outside the softbox (rather than inside as I have seen with other brands) allowing for easy adjustments when needed. The quad bracket can be used with both the softbox and with an umbrella, therefore, it has various uses. Also, both the softbox and the quad bracket come with a portable case making it easy to both store and travel with. I did find it confusing at first to learn how to fold the softbox but found several online tutorials to walk through the steps. Now it takes seconds to fold and put away. I would say the only con at this point is the price since it is a bit more costly than other brands, however, I did find that the quality of the product was worth it.
