The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Canon T2i (550D) is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of protective material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove.
Note! Environments with excessive heat and humidity will shorten the useful life of the adhesive on the glass.

I did some heavy research on what to buy to protect my LCD screen, and came to the conclusion that this Vello product would be the best. It was simple to apply, and of course I made sure that my screen was impeccably clean and free of any oil or dust particles. The picture quality is crisp and clear and you can't even tell there's a protector on it, other than the fact that the logo of the protector now covers the Canon logo. And unless you're worried about showing off your camera and making sure that everyone sees you own a Canon, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I had my 2 cameras ( T2i & 7D ) on a BlackRapid strap, and without thinking, took it off to set the rig down which swung the two cameras together. The heavy 7D had a 70-200L on it so when it hit the T2i with a Vello Glass Screen Protector, it cracked the glass on that, and didn't effect the camera's LCD Screen at all. SWEET! All my cameras never leave home without one, ever.

The screen protector is super easy to install and take maybe a minute at the most. It's done it's job well and haven't had any problem with it at all. I would definitely recommend and buy this protector for future cameras. Fits the screen of the T2i exactly and hardly adds any extra thinkness to the screen.

WHY has it taken me over a year to get this item? I do a lot of outdoor (wildlife) photography so I definitely need the screen protection.

I found this product very useful. It goes on very easily and it fits perfectly over the screen. People couldn't even tell I had a screen protector on. The light transmittance is still very nice. Very easy to wipe clean. Most importantly, it gives you peace of mind from having to worry about scratching up your beautiful glass lcd.

Putting it on is as easy as applying a sticker. Once its lined up it looks like it was part of the camera, it blends in very well. Its doing the job for me, I use my camer twice a week at most; sometime its only for a few minutes. So I can't comment on how it would stand up to heavy use. It feel solid, and looks good. I guess you can't ask for much more.

I love that this is made of glass, so it still gives a clear, crisp image on my LCD screen. It's also very scratch resistant.
It's very easy to install. Just be careful to be a dust-free zone when putting it on. I have carpets, and a tiny fuzz got in between the screen protector and the screen itself. Oops! =(

I use this item to protect my led screen on my Canon T2i. I had the plastic film protector on my camera before. This item gives the screen much more protection. Have not had this item long enough to say if the LED screen will become hard to see, as with the plastic film protector.
