The Custom Brackets HDV PRO Kit is designed to hold accessories like monitors, LED lights, and microphone, and is compatible with all HDSLR cameras. Using your camera's neck strap, it offers a balanced, stable setup. The kit allows a firm and comfortable grip of the entire setup using foam covered grips.
With an adjustable camera mounting plate, this kit allows easy access to the battery door of a quick change. It can be attached to either a tripod or monopod with 1/4" x 20 screws and includes 2 extension bars for proper alignment of any component and fold-in legs for easy storage.

Overall a comfortable stable camera and its accessories holder. The kit came with (2) cold shoe extension arms. It's been a week (store closed all week) and I'm still trying to figure out how to mount the extension brackets to the top of the kit rig. I need to mount a continuous light over the lens to prevent undue shadows. The slots in the rig are smaller than 1/4" and all of the fasteners, D type and shoe mounts of course are all 1/4" -20. I'm sure the answer is going to be for $2 I could have bought a do-dad that would have solved all my problems. Instead of being included, I've been left all week with a lego kit that is smarter than I am. I will make an earnest effort respecting the holidays, try customer support - but its a shame if I have to return this otherwise feel good frame due to incomplete kit packaging and lack of instructions.

I bought this product so I could mount my wireless lav receiver and zoom h4n near my Canon 60D. It works great and when holding both handles it is a nice stabilizer. Also when you flip out the legs at the bottom you can set it on the ground; it is nice to get low perspective shots.
ONE CON: If you are shooting handheld with a lens f/1.8 or lower and have to continuously focus it is difficult to hold the rig steady and focus at the same time.

I saw this bracket at Photo Expo in NYC and really liked it. I bought it just after the Holidays on a trip to B&H and it is great. The amount of mountable items you can put on it is terrific. It balances like a Steady Cam with just 2 fingers. You gotta try this one
