3D technology is kind of a mixed bag technology. To one group of people, the future of viewing, and to another group, little more than a gimmick. As it is still in its infant stages, it is hard to accurately forsee its future, whether it becomes standard or remains on the fringes of mainstream society.
The issue with reviewing 3D setups and their individual parts in general is that, like many other electronic setups, it is all dependent on how every part works together. Maybe the glasses are great, but the television you have might have some display issues or perhaps the 3D adapter is problematic.
On top of that, as you will be wearing the pair of glasses, you have to check for yourself how they feel, whether watching with 3D glasses on will eventually start to bother you [you should read up on health issues before considering 3D, if not just to keep yourself well-informed] and if you even feel like wearing glasses at all.
What further complicates the issue is that you require at least decent software to see how the effects work, as well as a decent HDMI cable [preferably the newer 1.4/1.4a compliant HDMI cables, though oddly I checked and some recently bought 1.3 cables have worked for me]. In case you are wondering why the need for newer HDMI cables, it is because 3D software requires more data to be sent as it is often sending two images at once, so some older cables of mine would not allow for me to turn 3D on at all.
All in all, it is a challenge to accurately review a part of a 3D setup and have it constitute for every other person reading the review. Fortunately, in my case, there were no issues. Full disclosure: I checked the pair of glasses on a Sony Bravia KDL-40NX700 television, with a separate 3D adapter plugged into the television. Furthermore, to check the effects out I sampled a few downloadable games on the PS3 [mainly Super Stardust HD and Motorstorm 3D Rift], as well as a newly purchased Asus G73SW-3DE laptop which can both display 3D on the laptop screen itself as well as output onto external devices such as my television.
As a reference point, I attemped to use a generic brand of 3D glasses I [stupidly] purchased off of the internet [Dreamview Universal Active 3D glasses]. While the Dreamview glasses did work well enough, it truly pales in comparison to the Sony BR-250 glasses. The effect is more accurate and dynamic, with the 3D looking far deeper through the Sony pair than the Dreamview pair. It is understandable as the Sony pair of glasses are optimized for their Bravia line of televisions, naturally. While I have yet to watch a 3D BLu-Ray movie to check to see how it looks [mainly due to lack of decent films worth purchasing as well as pricing for said blu-rays], it is safe to assume that it will work just as well.
The glasses seem durable from checking it out so far, without feeling too heavy or light [for me anyways],and other than the need to clean the glasses with the provided cloth [comes with wearing any pair of glasses so this is natural], I have had no issues physically with the glasses. The internal battery also seems to last quite long, though in all truth I have not tested it so you are better off finding out elsewhere. Finally, you should consider putting them away in their provided cloth-based bag and place it in a safe area so they do not scratch/get damaged.
If you are into 3D technology and have a Sony television and adapter, then by all means these are the pair of glasses you should be most considering. If it is not your cup of tea, obviously look elsewhere. And if you are simply curious, just remember to do your research.

What can you say about a product that is terrific for about two minutes before the pain on the sides of my head starts up? While the rechargable glasses work perfectly with 3D images, I should have paid attention to the reviews.
Imagine watching a 3D movie with your head in a vise and you'll understand the experience.
How can Sony, who makes great products including my Sony Bravia TV come up with a $70 pair of glasses that can't be worn for more than a few minutes before getting a throbbing headache. Sony says they are adjustable but it ain't so. I'm going to try to heat the temples and bend them to a new shape. Otherwise these two glasses I bought are useless.

Comments about Sony TDG-BR250/B 3D Active Glasses:
These glasses provide a solid 3D experience, however they get a little uncomfortable after a little while of wearing them. You also need to make sure your head is pretty straight and you're not looking at the TV at any big angle - in other words, sitting upright and directly in front of the TV is the best experience. However my guess is this is probably typical of 3D in general (I haven't tried any other glasses at home so I don't have anything to compare them to).

Comments about Sony TDG-BR250/B 3D Active Glasses:
Bought a couple of these as I bought a BRAVIA 3D TV. No choice but to get these. They are a little bulky but light in weight. They adjust well to the heads of small children. They are ready to go straight from the box, and charging them is fast enough to not ruin an evening waiting. (haven't found a need to charge them yet, but at least that's what I read from the manual.) Lastly, they are expensive compared to other brands.
This might apply to all 3D TV experiences, but if you tilt your head while watching, you get a red hue one way and a green hue if you tilt the other way. So no lying down sideways.. In order to get the experience you need to keep straight and face the TV directly.

Fantastic glasses. Very small amount of flicker in the periphery which is normal with active shutter glasses. Once you focus on the subject it all disappears! I bought 4 pair of glasses and my whole family from the kids (9 and 11 years old) to my wife find them comfortable. Excellent service from B and H Photo, they arrived in Australia under a week and were excellently packaged. Highly recommended!

It was only a short time ago that having high quality 3D in the home was just a dream. Using the TDG-BR250/B 3D Active Glasses together with my SONY Bravia 3D HDTV absolutely recreates the in-theater experience to its fullest. The glasses fit comfortably and more than do the job. You have to remember to keep them charged, or they will run out mid movie. In this way you have to rememberer to turn them OFF when not in use.
Nice product, well worth it if you like 3D.
Comments about Sony TDG-BR250/B 3D Active Glasses:
The glasses can only be recharged using the Sony TV. No computer USB, no AC adapter - I called and Sony confirmed this. They said that the computer charge will damage the glasses. I can't reach the USB port on my TV so I can't recharge the glasses. Am returning as much of the Sony electronics as I can. I've never seen such an customer unfriendly company as this.

Sony says they are adjustable but it ain't so. I'm going to try to heat the temples and bend them to a new shape. They have a new pair out for $100, maybe those will be more comfortable, but I'm not willing to pay that much money to find out

Comments about Sony TDG-BR250/B 3D Active Glasses:
The glasses are extremely uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose. I found myself constantly adjusting where the glasses sat on my nose so that one spot wouldn't become too sore. The next day I literally had to put tissue on the sore spot so that I could tolerate having the glasses on. The competitors including a universal brand has different nose pieces available. Where are Sony's?
