What can I say...these just flat don't work for DVD-Video burning. They may work for burning data, but they are not compatible with projects intended for video output. Using both Adobe Encore CS5 and ImgBurn utilities, I went through 5 discs unsuccessfully. The media just won't work. Have never had this issue with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs. The reason I purchased these Microboard discs is because they are the only dual layer DVDs available with hub-printable surfaces, but honestly, if the disc won't play, it really doesn't matter how nice the cover looks.

          Comments about Microboards MEDD-10004 DVD+R Dual-Layer Media (50-disc Spindle):

We use them for doing backups of our videos and shows. We backup video as an MOV and MP4 file type. We have large 30 minute shows and we can get 6 shows on one Dual Layer DVD. It saves time when you bont keep changing the DVDs.

I have burned thousands of Verbatim discs but at half the price figured we'd give these a shot. They are not worth it. Several discs were out of balance and nearly ruined one of by burners. The ones that did work couldn't be burned at more than 2x...it takes a long time to put over 8GB on a disc at 2x instead of 8 or 16.

Ordering a few spindles of Verbatim's once BH Checkout is available.

I typically only use Verbatim DVD+R DL media, but gave these a shot because of the lower price and the full hub print surface. Waste of time...couldn't get a single successful burn, ended up returning them to B&H (thanks B&H!). Have never had problems with DL media before or since, so these are probably not worth your trouble. Note that I was doing DVD Video burns, NOT data burns. You may find more success using these for data burns, but I didn't bother trying.
