The EXPS2-0 Holographic Sight (Matte Black) from EOTech is a holographic red-dot sight that provides rapid heads-up-both-eyes-open target acquisition. Sporting a shortened form factor to save valuable rail-space, the EXPS2-0 has accessible side buttons and a single, quick release throw lever for easy attachment and removal.
Because it's powered by a single transverse-mounted CR123A battery, the EXPS2 is shorter than the N and AA battery versions - yet it delivers the same parallax-free sighting capabilities. This sight requires a mere 2.75" of rail space, and the battery compartment is separated from the base to allow it to hover over the Delta Ring of most M16/AR15 platform firearms. The battery cap is a simple screw-type cover that's o-ring sealed and tethered to the housing.
The control buttons are positioned on the side of the rugged aluminum housing for ease of operation. The illuminated reticle is configured with a 65 MOA circle and a single 1 MOA dot - the illumination system provides the operator with 20 brightness levels to choose from.
Designed for today's modern battlefield; the EXPS2-0 is submersible to a depth of 10', and it's repeatable to 2 MOA after remounting. The rear window is a 3/16" thick shatterproof laminate with anti-glare and scratch resistant coatings, and the front lens is 1/8" solid glass. Because the optical system is based upon transmission holography, parallax error is not an issue which can be a mission-critical feature.

Comments about EOTech EXPS2-0 Holographic Sight (Matte Black):
Been using this for a few weeks now.... Love the build, quality, and results. Easy to dial in and once there it stays true. Thinking of a 3X magnifier as my next purchase.... Be aware that if you install covers and have to remove the hood to do so, it will void the warranty.

Comments about EOTech EXPS2-0 Holographic Sight (Matte Black):
Works great, just don't like the mounting system that interferes with proper mounting on my AKM type rifle that has an UltiMax forward rail system. I had to mount it way forward.
The lock release sits down about 100/1000 of an inch. So I switched back to an older 512 and gave my daughter the EXPS 2.0.

Comments about EOTech EXPS2-0 Holographic Sight (Matte Black):
I only have three 'not so great' things to say about this sight - and none have anything to do with it's performance or accuracy. The first is that the side-mounted control buttons feel 'squishy' to me. They function just fine, but personally I prefer a more 'positive' feel. Secondly I feel that the quick release latch could be a little easier to operate wearing gloves. Again, this is a personal preference of mine and does not reflect poorly on the functionality of the sight. Lastly, I would like to see the side markings on the sight applied with a more subdued color. Just seem to be unnecessarily bright to me as they are. And just a final note - I'm pretty sure that one of these days I'll end up breaking that little wire holding the battery cap on...
