The Video Copilot Action Essentials 2K Film Resolution (2048 x 1152) is a collection of stock footage elements for video compositing, and offers you action stock footage for visual effects and motion graphics. Offering flexibility to compositors, it provides 2.5x more resolution in each element. The action elements are suitable for use with promo videos, trailers, and DVD menus.
The Action Essentials 2K Film Resolution features 20 categories of FX and 500 pre-keyed high definition elements including liquid fire. Equipped with built-in alpha channels, it offers faster compositing. The keying process is simplified. You can lay an element on the footage and the background has built-in transparency.
In addition to 20 action sound effects and detailed video thumbnails, the Action Essentials 2K Film Resolution features over 90% live action footage. It also comes with a special After Effects CS3 project file, which is a pre-setup that enables you to down-convert 2K files to 720p to use as proxies, and for low-resolutions projects.
The Action Essentials 2K Film Resolution comes with training videos (60 min) that feature tutorials hosted by Andrew Kramer, president and founder of Video Copilot. The training covers topics such as using elements in AE, Premiere, and Vegas video, compositing muzzle flashes with shell casing, building collapse scene with sparks and debris, and street explosion with fireball, glass, and dust elements.

Comments about Video Copilot Action Essentials 2K Film Resolution (2048 x 1152):
not sure it was worth upgrading to 2048x1152 res - if you're only compositing for amateur films, 720p version should be more than sufficient given the price difference.
