The black Lino Pro V Backpack from Manfrotto holds a ton of photo gear in a mid-sized, water-repellent bag. You're sitting home - the phone rings and you're suddenly offered a gig cross country and you need to race to the airport to catch an 8am flight. Or, you're between jobs and just want to spend a day outside shooting in the field. The Pro V gives you all the tools you need to get the job done. With a capacity of two DSLRs (one with grip and mounted lens, 4-6 additional lenses, flash, standard-sized and pocket-sized tripods, smaller items like batteries, cables, pens and notebook as well as a 17" (43.2cm) laptop), what more could you ask for in a comfortable backpack that is made from high-quality nylon and Italian leather?

Not only will the bag hold all this gear but it does so in a compact, safe and organized fashion. The rear unzips to reveal the main compartment that contains movable touch fastened dividers that permit you to sculpt the interior to accommodate whatever equipment you need on a given day. Shooting telephoto? No sweat. The Lino Pro V Backpack gives you the capability to store your DSLR with grip and 70-200 attached in a ready-to-shoot position. Smaller fixed, zoom or wide angle lenses can be individually nestled within the additional padded dividers. Your 17" laptop is safely camped within its own dedicated pocket and separated from everything else by a padded divider that still allows it to be readily accessible. Small items such as lens caps, pens and cables are stored in another separate flap area within their own zippered or slip-in pockets.

One of the "wow" features of this bag is the touch fastened special top access opening that allows you to remove that DSLR with your 70-200 from the main compartment without having to stop and open the entire pack - a real security benefit. Unseal the top panel, grab the camera, get the shot, replace the camera and you're off again.

Need a tripod? No problem. Attach it to the front of the pack with the included straps. Just need a table top tripod? Again, no problem. You have two unique integrated pockets that are perfect for fitting both sizes of Manfrotto pocket series tripods. This bag has left nothing to chance.

The zippers are all coated to prevent water from seeping in. However, Manfrotto didn't stop there. There you are out in the field shooting or even waiting on the curb to grab a cab and it suddenly starts to rain or snow. For many other packs, precipitation would spell disaster but not the Pro V. Simply roll out the included rain protector and the bag is instantly covered - protected from the elements. It can also be used just to keep the bag clean.

Carrying the Lino Pro V Backpack is easier than carrying a tune. The harness system - back straps and rear back pad are all padded. The straps are fully adjustable and the addition of a chest strap prevents the pack from swinging out of kilter and helps to keep you "hands-free". If you just need to snatch the pack from the trunk of your car or off a luggage carousel at the airport, use the handy top carry handle. The waist belt, also padded, snaps closed securely with male/female plastic snap buckles. Even with the tripod mounted, the pack is comfortable and well-balanced. Your shoulders will thank you for purchasing this pack.

This backwill story a lot of gear and them some. I can pretty much take everything safe and secure. I really like that most people don't know it's a backpack full of camera gear! The laptop storage is amazing, big, and will fit most any laptop. I also like that this backpack opens at the top for quick access. The rain cover is best in class

Comments about Manfrotto Lino Pro V Backpack (Black):

I bought this bag because I wanted space for all my gear, a Canon 5dMK3, five lenses, a Lee foundation kit with 5 filters and all of their respective cases, SpeedLight, batteries, cards etc.
This is a BIG bag and it holds all this equipment and has a little room left for other smaller items. Of course, once you've filled the bag with all of your gear it becomes quite heavy – not the bags fault. The weight is manageable nevertheless, the bag itself is light, and very well made. Even with all of this equipment it is actually comfortable to wear – which surprised me.
Last time I used this for a location, I lessened the load according to the requirements of the shoot. But it's nice to know that if I had to take all of my gear on a location that can be accomplished without too much strain.
It isn't the easiest bag to get into, but then again, that would foil someone trying to take something while I wore it. It's impossible for a thief to get to the camera or lenses while I'm wearing it without my knowledge – a big plus.
Another plus, it doesn't look like a camera bag – another security measure, in my book. All bags that were emblazoned with a camera/equipment name fell out of my consideration immediately.
The zippers are stiff but I'm hoping they will loosen with use.
My biggest compliant is that the bag come with next to nothing in the way of instructions. There are straps I still have no idea in how to employ. A BIG mistake, in my book. Also, it could use more external, and larger pockets.
However, the bag is of excellent quality, carries all I need it to, is rain proof with the provided cover and looks smart to boot. Overall, I'm happy with my decision to purchase this bag. If you have a lot of gear, I'm betting you will be too.

Comments about Manfrotto Lino Pro V Backpack (Black):

I purchased this bag because I wanted something that would fit my gear, a laptop, work as a carry-on and not scream camera bag. I wanted something that looked like a professional bag and not like a camera bag or backpack. While doing factory visits in China I never feel comfortable leaving my gear in the room safe, this bag met all those needs.

          Likes:
          • Huge inside. I was able to drop a bag on international travel.
          • Easily fits in overhead bin (not on a little commuter plane, nothing fits in those)
          • Waist belt is completely removable
          • Business professional appearance
          • Easy access to camera and whole top half of bag through the top opening.

          Dislikes:
          • Would prefer the laptop compartment be toward the rear and not against my back.

          Conclusion:
For what I bought this for it rocks. I did not buy this to go hiking. I would not want to trek through the woods all day with this on my back (because of all the gear I haul around). Ok , so I did take the waist belt off. Even with it off it is plenty comfortable in airports, subways, taxis, city sidewalks … short distance. It should have a warning label sewn in, "Just 'cuz it fits does not mean you need to bring it". The bag is cavernous inside. You will be able to fit far more than you will want to carry. If you are judicious and pack tight you will have plenty of room for a reasonable amount of camera gear, laptop (MacBook air 15"), miscellaneous chargers, 3-1-1 bag, and a change of clothes.

I also own a Tamrac Expedition 5x. Great bag, super comfy just does not fit my laptop. Still use it for local outings. This bag is only marginally larger on the max exterior dimensions, but with the square top you pick up a surprising amount of space and take away the backpack look.

Comments about Manfrotto Lino Pro V Backpack (Black):

Other brands give you half the quality - and do so at twice the price. Everything about this piece of kit rightfully deserves a AAA+ rating. Practical design, heavy duty zippers, robust stitching, and an up front presence tells everyone the owner is serious about photography and more serious about protecting the gear inside.

Comments about Manfrotto Lino Pro V Backpack (Black):

This backpack has quality written all over it. There is room for all your gear (or at least my gear) with room to spare. There was plenty of padding and it's easy to customize the interior to fit your stuff. There is a zipper and flap to easily access your camera and two lenses without opening the whole backpack up, but once you do, there is a lot of room for everything else.
