I have a Canon MX850 and got tired of constantly having to replace the inkjet cartridges. After shopping around online for laser printers, I chose this model as it is fast, has auto duplex, auto feed copy support, has network capabilities (I didn't need wireless, but the 7480W supports it if you do), has reasonably priced replacement toner (the reason I did not get a Lexmark), and had good long term reviews. This model seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
In the short time I've had it all of my requirements were completely met and it works great. I don't mind the fan noise that some others complain about as it goes into a deep sleep when not being used and is completely silent.
The only reason I knocked a star off is that the scanning quality and configuration was lacking slightly. The resolution seemed fine, but compared to even that of my older Canon it did not have accurate colors and would require some tweaking to potentially match the original. If I could make it 4.5 stars rather than 4 I would.

I did not read carefully on the spec on this Brother MFC-7460DN model laser printer before purchase. After bought it for [$], and tested, then I noticed this printer does not support 2 sided copy output (2 on 2). For example, put a 2 side document on the auto document feeder and it only able to print 1 side, which is not what I want. I decide to purchase Brother brand is because the toner might cheaper than other brand.I found out that Canon printer sales similar functions of printer at about the same price.

Comments about Brother MFC-7460DN All-In-One B/W Laser Printer w/Networking & Duplex Printing:
I use this product as a all in one in one of my satellite offices where I need printing but not often. I have found that I am not able to use Inkjets in this setting because the cartidges tend to dry out before they get used up. This is an alternative that allows me to have quality scanning, printing, copying and scanning capabilities that should stay reliable.Down sides: Bypass feeder is very small so it will be limited as to the size of bypass bundle one can set to be printed upon.No printer cable was included. Likely Brother figured one would use the networking rather than a hardwire.

Comments about Brother MFC-7460DN All-In-One B/W Laser Printer w/Networking & Duplex Printing:
This printer is super for my home use. The low operational cost was the primary reason for making the purchase. This doesn't use much ink and the automatic duplex printing is going to save me a lot of paper. The unit is way too easy to operate. This printer runs smooth and has been reliable. This is a quality made printer and will probably out last the other printers I've had.

An incredibly small footprint for auto duplex. I love the features, how it looks, and the quality of the printing. All I have is praise - no downsides.

Xlnt value. B&H beat the competition. Very good performance, and relatively easy and trouble free setup. Easy to use as a printer, but the scanner function is a little more complicated than needs be. However, does scan well, and my complaint is minor. Also pleased that it scans in color even though printer is B&W.

I am using it in my home office since past 2 weeks and its been nothing but great, so far. I have hooked it up via the network port so that all my computers can fire the print when they are on home network. I have not tried the duplex printing feature yet.
The printer is not that noisy as mentioned in other reviews. It is NORMAL for this size of printers (at least for the printers I've owned so far)
The build is good.
