Comments about Holga 12MFC Electronic Flash With Built-In Color Filters:
For $ it is hard to complain. I have used, but have not developed film using this on my Holga, but have used the "test" button on the back for photos with my DSLR. The on/off switch on mine is loose as if it will fall off easily. Regardless, the flash is small in size and bright in light. With only one AA, it is an easy thing to throw in my bag with my 120N just in case I need it. I tried to use it on my Canon 60D for the color flash functions, but the 60D won't recognize it (not this flash's fault). Other film cameras probaly would work though. The flash cycle time is a few seconds, but who cares... by the time you wind the film, its probably ready to take another shot. I found a fully charged rechargable battery to cycle much faster. There is no lock for the flash shoe which is the biggest problem with this possibly falling off the cam if not careful. The Holga with flash built in is a more secure option for a flash. However, this external flash can be used in long exposure bulb mode. Simply pressing the test button on the back (while removed from your Holga), and you can create your own colorful artistic photo with shadows, etc.
