Comments about Holga VV-SH Verticle Viewer Attachement:

Remember those little square things in the upper corner of the lens board of 1930's folding cameras? Used to aim with? Well this is a giant size version. It has very long eye relief so it encourages belly button perspective. I bought it to use on a Lensless Pinhole camera (150 mm version 4x5) in a cold shoe I mounted on that camera. It worked out very well except the long eye relief makes it impractical for eye level camera perspective unless you have a ladder handy. But if you look down on it from about a foot or more away you see a very bright nice circle of the center of a square image of about normal perspective that is surprisingly good. As long as you are not trying to compose with it beyond putting an area of interest pretty much in the center of the image, this is a nice device and certainly worth the money. it has a base part that slides right off. That may be specific to the exact cameras it is designed for. I took that off and even filed a register notch in one side for the locking screw on my add on cold shoe so it locks in with authority. It is a great pointing device for the 4x5 "normal" perspective pinhole camera.
