The bungee cord Stile Collection: Agile VII Sling from Manfrotto is a functional compromise between a backpack and shoulder bag. For the shooter who likes versatility, this may be the perfect bag for you. With its padded, comfortable strap, you normally wear it on your back. However, when you're ready to shoot, just swing it forward to the front, unzip the lower compartment, grab your camera that is held with attached lens in shooting position, take your shot, re-zip the bag, swing it behind you and move on. Unlike a traditional backpack, you won't have to stop, take the pack off, retrieve your gear and shoot. The Agile VII provides the happy medium with which to both tote and shoot in one fell swoop - in one swift motion - and it's airline carry-on rated.

Externally, the bag is made from a durable water-repellent nylon. That makes it a great shooter's bag since you won't have to worry about getting caught in a summer's rain or winter's snow. The back of the bag even has connections for strapping on a standard-sized tripod. The back strap is wide and comfortable with an additional under arm quick release strap for additional support. The side of the bag has a zippered access pocket from which you can easily extract your camera with mounted lens when you "swing" the bag forward when you want to shoot.

Internally, the bag is divided in two halves. The top half is smaller and is for personals such as glasses, book, phone or MP3 player. The bottom half is the main compartment and holds your DSLR with attached lens as well as 3-4 additional lenses within the movable, padded dividers. The dividers provide a convenient way to configure the bag to suit your equipment needs. In addition, you'll have a separate area in which to nest your Manfrotto Pocket Tripod.

The Agile VII is a "run-and-go" type bag that is designed for the person who is constantly on the move and needs a bag that is not only airline rated but that can provide both secure storage and rapid access to the gear. Manfrotto warrants the bag against any manufacturing defects.

I have a Sony A65 with 18-55 and Tamron 70-300 telephoto. When I bought the camera I purchased a sling bag with it.It was a lessor brand but did the job for 8 months. Then it started coming apart at the seams and the straps started tearing. I looked long and hard before selecting the Manfrotto Agile II.

I love this bag for several reasons.1. It has some stiffeners in it which make the bag much more durable and protective of my gear. Many bags become floppy after use but not this one. 2. My camera with the big lens will fit in the camera compartment either horizontally or vertically. A bigger DSLR couldn't do this but with my Sony this is a great feature. 3. When you bring the bag forward the camera compartment is right there and handy. The compartment opens easily not requiring a very long zipper pull to get into. 4. The tripod mounting straps work the best I have seen on any bag. They are very secure and easy to operate. I am in the field a lot so the taking the tripod is a must. 5. I love the colour rather than the usual black. The only complaint I have is the huge three pronged buckle on the top compartment flap. It seems to be overkill to have that and velcro too!

I had been contemplating purchasing this bag as a daypack since it was first released. This sleek lines and aluminum buckle were some serious eye candy, and the top pocket was very similar to the shelf pocket in the Tenba Discovery daypack series- a fantastic bag that I bought twice (I repurchased when the first bag wore out). The Manfrotto has plenty of room, and the integrity of materials used to make this bag is excellent. Unfortunately, unless you want to remove the bottom of the top compartment, the main compartment of the bag is only accessible through a side pocket. What's more, the deeper spaces separated by Velcro attached walls are not easy to get to. The shoulder strap is also designed to only go over one's left shoulder, which makes accessing the bag while wearing it very difficult.
For the price, this bag is amazing. If there was a zipper on the front to access the main cargo area, I'd venture to say there would be no better daypack on the market. I'm entertaining having a zipper installed. 7 out of 10.

Comments about Stile Collection: Agile VII Sling (Black):

The sling offers more room than I had anticipated. It mostly consists of collapsable walls within the bags overall rigid frame. The top section of the bag is roomy and closes with velcro, then two zippers and then that big metal clasp you see. The only complaint I have is that if you start packing this bag youll find that the best part for the lenses is on the bottom. There isnt much cushion between the lenses and the floor that evetually you'll place the bag on.

I use the bag for hiking/cross country skiing with my camera, lenses, and gear. I like the quick access to the camera...which is the main reason I bought a sling bag. Don't have to take the backpack off to get a quick shot. I love the room, has plenty for camera, extra lense or two and other stuff. I like to bring my camera gear everywhere I go, so this is my camera's home at all times. Works very well!

This camera bag is stylish, comfortable, and durable all at the same time. The side zipper, that allows access to the bottom portion of the bag, makes taking out a camera convenient because you do not have to take off the bag to grab the camera. The interior has enough space for a camera with a lens attached, two additional lenses, a flash, and then some. Good product for any photography student or casual photographer.

Comments about Stile Collection: Agile VII Sling (Bungee Cord):

Agile VII replaces an old Pentax Sling bag which was always too small, and never took a body with mounted lens. My Canon gear was too big for the Pentax sling; even Canon lenses are big. The Agile VII is a bit big for the K5s with 4 lenses, even with 70-200 mounted. But it does hold them all, including a second body. It takes some imagination and microfiber handcloths to pad and wrap everything. It isn't perfect, but is a keeper, and will probably better fit the Canon gear I use less frequently, even holding a mounted 70-200. I liked it so well that I bought an Agile V, a bit smaller, to go better with the Pentax kit. It really holds my heavy Gitzo tripod, which amazed me. Cameras and lenses come in different sizes. The only real shortcoming, even by comparison with my first sling bag, was a shortage of little pockets for batteries, memory cards, cables, etc. etc. Little containers do fit in the spacious top compartment, but it is nice to have containers sewn in, where you can't drop them in the rush of a shoot. I even throw my 70-200 or 300mm lens in the top when I'm switching lenes. Great buy. More compartments would be appreciated.

I use the pack for short hike/shoots. Only been on one expedition so far.

The pack seems very well made and sturdy. I like that it doesn't necessarily look like a photo bag. There is plenty of room for camera, lenses and accessories. Accommodates pretty much my whole kit. I also like the straps for carrying a tripod. The sling works well and the velcro "tube" that surrounds and holds my camera lens in place is a nice touch. The only negative I have is that the bag is very square and sticks out away from my back quite a bit. I think I would like it better if it was a little more form fitted and less square.

Not only is stylish but also a light, comfortable and a great way to get all your portable gear in one place. If you are the kind of photographer that love to just burst pictures on the spot this Backpack will allow you to carry your camera and gear without the need of having your camera hanging on your neck the whole day. GREAT PRODUCT!

Comments about Stile Collection: Agile VII Sling (Black):

I purchased this bag to replace a Nikon backpack that I have had for some time. The height and width are basically the same, however, the constant depth is a plus. I had to carry my 80-400mm zoom lens separately before and now I can fit it all in this bag.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this a five star rating is the funky access points and the lack of customizable compartments in the top section. Other than that, it is very well made. Fits nicely (easy to wear). Provides reasonable easy access to your equipment and should last a long time. If you have a lot of accessories and several lenses, you are better off going with a back with more compartments.
