The view is astounding and the handling is superb - glassing through the EL 10x50 SwaroVision Binocular from Swarovski brings the cutting edge of optical performance to a new level. While the original EL series set the benchmark for clarity, color accuracy, and handling comfort, the EL SwaroVision binoculars raise the performance bar even higher.
The optical system has been enhanced with all of Swarovski's HD optics with their legendary performance-enhancing multilayer lens coatings. The optical path is enhanced even further with the addition of field flattener lenses. These field flatteners ensure an edge-to-edge sharpness and clarity that's free of distortion and other distractions.
Keeping pace with the optical train, the EL SV's construction also benefits from some advanced fine-tuning. The EL's open-bridge design provides viewers with long-term viewing comfort, enhanced stability, and ease of handling. The housing is covered with a rubberized finish that offers a secure tactile grip and a bit of shock resistance. Stellar all-climate performance is ensured via nitrogen purging. The rugged magnesium housing is sealed and purged to create a watertight and fogproof internal system - one that's impervious to dynamic climates and difficult conditions.
A wide angle field of view and truly noteworthy eye relief contribute to this fine sporting optic's viewing performance. Even when wearing glasses, the view remains unobstructed, free from vignetting, and lush with crisp detail.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x50 SwaroVision Binocular:
These binoculars are exceptional. They are light, with buttery smooth focus, and an image that is bright, sharp and without color cast. (Look at a sheet of well-lit photo paper or other white paper backwards through binoculars and you can compare how accurate a binocular transmits color.) Eye relief is long. Flare and coma are well controlled.
A person with normal financial resources (like me) will think its crazy to pay this much for a set of binoculars. And it is. They are merely incrementally better than any pair half the price. But it's that increment that is the source of significant joy of ownership. Once you bite the bullet they will be a joy to own and use for life, and then hand them down to the next generation of bird watcher or astronomer, sport fan, hunter, etc.
They are the best there is. If you can scrape together the price you won't be disappointed. After the price pain is gone the quality lives on.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x50 SwaroVision Binocular:
For years I was dissuaded from ordering 10 power binos--- I couldn't possibly hold them still enough for them to be useful. On a recent birding trip I had the opportunity to use the EL 10 x 50 and the owner convinced me that shaking ( distortion)would not be a problem. Exquisite they are---I now see colors previously unseen in the deeper shade, details of tail shape, eyerings and "booties"!The clarity is stunning--- it is better than being there!
