Sure, it's inexpensive for a tripod, and from a well known company. Unfortunately those two things mean nothing to the consumer. After my third use, of less than 15 minutes, the main stabilizer broke from a leg, rendering it completely useless. I have always been a responsible owner and take very good care of all equipment, so this was appalling.Upon asking Canon for support, replacement, repairs, etc, I was told they offer nothing. In essence, I should have thrown[$] into my toilet bowl and flushed it. Canon really needs to reconsider how they treat customers, despite the cost of the product involved. I'm switching all my future business to Nikon after this.

The Deluxe Tripod 300 with Carrying Case is the easest tripod to use. To extend the legs all you have to do is flip up the locking latch and pull down the les to your desired length. The tripod is ultra light and closes to 23" for easy carrying. In my opinion this tripod is worth at much more that I bought it for. It also fits into the carrying case easily and you can put it over your shoulder for easy access when you need it.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Tripod 300 with Carrying Case:
Bought this tripod for my JVC Everio camcorder. Fits perfectly, can be adjusted to accomodate just about any shooting angle, and very lightweight.
The only thing I'm unsure of is how long it will last. With it being so lightweight, it almost feels like it won't last long. I've only used it on one outing so far and it worked great. Overall durability remains to be seen but so far so good.

I took this tripod across Boston and the east coast for a large project and it held up great. very easy and compact, the swivel for the camera is great but only moves side to side not up and down.

This will come in handy during family pictorials and vacation getaways. I like that it comes with a durable case/bag for ease of carrying it. It's well-made and, knowing it's by Cannon, this will have lots of uses. The logo on the bag boasts the brand (Canon) but is not too much.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Tripod 300 with Carrying Case:
Good compact and lightweight tripod for the price. Given the price, the parts are very cheap and fragile. The parts work fine and the legs are solid but I'm expecting some parts to break off before too long. That being said, again, it's great for the price and is easy to transport. 4 stars because it's great for a beginner on a budget...but you may just buy this one and immediately start looking to upgrade.

Im a student and bought this tripod for assignments. I had it about a 1 month then I dropped it one day and it broke immediately. Its light weight but some of the parts are plastic which dont hold up very well. The arm piece that holds the leg to the central camera pole snapped off, now the tripod is un-sturdy and cant be fixed. Great product but the cheap parts do not hold up to wear and tear if your clumsy.

Great tripod for the beginner and novice
DSLR Camera user. I found to be very stable
and easy to use and the quick release shoe is
very easy to use. Would definitely recommend
to some using point and shoot, DSLR or small
camcorder. Canon definitely deserves 5 stars
on this tripod for the ease of use and quality of
the product, not to mention the really affordable
price of this Tripod. Thanks Canon
for the quality and great product.

It's great. It's a sturdy tripod. It's tall, too! And I love the height it can reach since I'm a pretty short girl! I also appreciate the 3 way pan heads that give me the option to take shots from several angels and positions. All in all, it's a great tripod, but not for heavy cameras. I have a Canon EOS Rebel t4i and it holds perfectly fine.
I just wish there were wheels on it... and that it was easier to lower and raise the camera's height.

I'm so happy with this. Fantastic tripod. I love how small it is when compacted and in the carrying case. I'm so happy it even has a carrying case. I also like the mechanisms for extending/lowering the legs. They're like clips rather than those things you had to turn and turn. Very fast up and down. It also has a level. I couldn't be happier. I mostly use this for at-home photo shoots of clothing FYI.

As an amateur photographer I have needed a tripod but did not want to break the bank with a purchase. This product meets my needs and is priced well below comparable units. My Canon Rebel and I are both very happy! An added bonus is the carrying case. Looking forward to many more family portraits that I can be in and landscape shots in low light that will not be blurred by my inability to hold the camera perfectly still throughout the shot! I highly recommend this tripod to anyone not needing a professional grade tripod.
