Comments about QOMO HiteVision Qview QPC60 Document Camera (5MP CMOS Sensor):
I bought this because other units only have a 1-2 megapixel cameras, not enough to take good still images of documents, only for zooming in on parts of a page at a time. This 5 MP camera lets me take quick snapshots of documents in the classroom, crop them using free Photoscape, then print them off to make copies. It could use better lighting, so I might get a small desk lamp next to it. I also have to keep turning the brightness up 2 notches in the settings every day to use the video camera live to the projector because it won't hold the setting. For the price and size its not bad, but if you want the best regardless of price or size then this isn't it. It keeps losing power and restarting itself every hour so I have to reset it and turn the light back on, zoom, focus, etc. It's dark even with its LED light on, and the focus can't focus on regular lined paper that doesn't have writing yet. You also have to raise it all the way up to get a whole page in view, it doesn't zoom out as far as others. On the good side, it was cheap compared to others, it's small, and it has a much better still camera than its competitors under $1k.
