The Cinevate 26" Atlas FLT DSLR Slider W/ All-Terrain Legs is a 26" mini-dolly accompanied by add-on, adjustable all-terrain legs. The Atlas FLT itself is designed with a ball bearing system that very smoothly slides a DSLR rig of up to 25 lb in any possible direction -- sideways, forward, backward, up, down, panoramically, and at angles. It can very effectively also be used as a crane when attached to a tripod, and can optionally be transformed into a counter-balanced vertical pulley system. With a non-reflective, black satin anodized finish, and full CNC aluminum and steel construction, the Atlas FLT is a beautiful, tightly designed shorter version of the Atlas 10, and a much lighter, quicker-to-set-up, more affordable version of the Atlas 30 and Atlas 200.

On a basic level, with a DSLR mounted atop it, the Atlas FLT can simply be placed on any flat surface, in an east/west or north/south setup, or at angles, such as at 190° instead of 180°, and you can then track right or left on it, close in or pull back, or play with angles to even further magnify the telling of your story. You can also stand the Atlas up erect and vertically slide the DSLR on it up or down.

But if you're working not with a flat surface but with two big stones, one bigger and with a pointier surface than the other, then what you would do is attach onto the Atlas FLT its included additional all-terrain legs, which resemble the legs of a spider and can accordingly spread wide or stand erect, either way almost gripping the surface they're on. The legs are designed, at the play of a few knobs and fasteners, to level off and compensate for any unevenness below them.

The Atlas FLT, via any of seven tripod mount plate locations, can also be mounted onto one or more tripods for an elevated execution of all of its capabilities.

And with the addition of a tripod, the Atlas FLT can also be used as a crane. With a part of one end mounted on the tripod, and the other end holding a DSLR, the Atlas FLT becomes a crane that can swing the camera up or down, or left or right in a circular motion. If, for example, you're set up as such at the edge of a roof overlooking a busy street, you can have the camera pointing down and then swing sideways for panoramic shots of the action on the street.

Another feature of the Atlas FLT is an optional one, but a gigantic one. A vertical pulley system! The Atlas stands vertically erect, a DSLR on one side of it -- not on one end but on one side, an added weight package on the other side, and the two connected by a durable, rope-like counter-balance pulley system. Push down the weight, and the camera smoothly slides up; push it up, the camera slides down. Your own little mini-studio!

The Atlas FLT does not ship with a tripod head, but is compatible with most 3/8"-16 heads.

A sophisticated 26" mini-dolly along with all-terrain legs. Handles rigs of up to 25 lb.
Slides very smoothly in any possible direction, including vertical and panoramic.

The Atlas can also be stood up erect and the DSLR vertically moved on it.
If you're working with a surface that's not flat, the Atlas FLT's included all-terrain legs can adjust to stand firm on all surfaces and to then level off and compensate for any unevenness.
Attached to a tripod, the Atlas can very effectively be used as a crane that swings up or down, or left or right in a circular motion.
The Atlas has seven tripod mount plate locations via which it can be mounted onto one or more tripods for an elevated execution of all of its capabilities.

Comments about Cinevate Inc 26" Atlas FLT DSLR Slider W/ All-Terrain Legs:

Shot our first short with this slider. very cool.
Super smooth, and very easy to use.
Best if you use a light stand. It can get heavy oven with just a head and dslr on the slider. I used Manfrotto 501 HD head to put the slider on and I really had to fasten everything down really well, because I noticed a little teeter-totter effect. This isn't anything wrong with the slider, it can just get a little heavy.
It seems to be quiet but you can hear it if you slide quickly.
It did great on our last shoot. You will want to practice before you start shooting. To get the feel of the slider. How well it looks is really up to the operator. It is a great slider but you are the one who is responsible to make the great shot. With great sliders come great responsibility.

Comments about Cinevate Inc 26" Atlas FLT DSLR Slider W/ All-Terrain Legs:

Very good product - its built really well and can do some amazing shots with this. From direct horizontal pans, or zooming in slider shots its great! Make sure you get the all-terrain legs as the others are pretty useless.

With the adjustable legs you can put one side down and one side up to give a little tilt type of shots. I havent had any issues with it so far but still placing it thru the ringer.

Its a bit pricey hence the 4 stars, but all in all great product.

I should have gotten this first instead of the glidecam. I find my self picking this tool up more frequently.

If your wondering about the length... its more than ample long enough for wedding shots or basic shots. You dont want it too long because then it wont fit in tight spaces.

the FLT is just the right size for me
