The black 5592 SpeedRoller 2x Big Wheels Rolling Case from Tamrac is a serious case for serious shooters who need a case that can withstand the rigors of both travel and location work. The case is made from a ballistic nylon outer shell and reinforced by a plastic armored frame. That is complemented by an interior that features padded, adjustable dividers that can be configured to accommodate whatever gear you decide to pack.
The SpeedRoller 2x is spacious and will hold two DSLRs with lenses attached as well as 4-6 additional lenses. And since most photographers don't travel without a laptop these days, it will also hold your 17.3' (43.9cm) laptop in its own padded compartment. Tamrac's Windowpane-Mesh pockets, located inside the main lid, will hold small items such as extra batteries, memory cards, filters and the like. Take your tripod along using the QuickClip attachment system. It is secured, centered and balanced on the front of the SpeedRoller.
The case weighs 11.5 lb when it's empty so Tamrac has included a push button/locking telescopic pull handle to go along with its two unique oversized wheels that make negotiating ramps and hallways much easier. As a final touch, the case will accept Modular Accessory System accessories such as optional Tamrac lens cases, belts, pockets and raincovers.

I just purchased this in time for an overseas flight and cruise. Only downside was its expense; but given I wanted to carry and protect several thousand dollars worth of lenses it was well worth it. It does fit perfectly in the Boeing 7x7 series overhead compartments; it would probably not fit into the "puddle jumper" overheads and would have to be put in the hold. I had NO concerns about the safety of my equipment with this camera case; I felt it would protect even if dropped. The supplied inserts are more than plentiful. I was able to use the tripod straps both for a heavy duty tripod as well as for "piggy-backing" other luggage - the case is heavy duty enough to do that. The handles and extendable carry handle are well constructed. I really do like this case. Only downside is that it is a bit heavy - 13 lbs empty - but for the protection it provides it is well worth it.
One side note - in the manufacturing process there is probably some residual chemical residue on the case that tested positive for "explosive residue" by the TSA (a dry cleaned suit can as well) so don't be surprised if the "screening theater" takes you aside for a closer look, especially if you have wires (chargers) etc. in the case. Allow extra time through airport screening.

I needed a rugged, easy to move travel bag that would serve as a carry on for flights. This bag filled the bill as far as rugged construction and it had customized dividers inside to pad my gear. However, once it was loaded with my Canon 5D Mark II body, 70-200 lens and about 4 other lenses, it was too heavy for me. I wouldn't have felt comfortable trying to lift it into an overhead plane compartment. I'm a 5'4" woman, 61 years old. I'm not weak, but I didn't have the upper body strength to lift this loaded bag that high. Sorry I had to return it.

I love this product. Just the right size for all of my equipment. Very sturdy, roomy and cushiony. A fellow photographer told me about it and he was correct, perfect case for photography.
I just hope it will be allowed on a plane.
Thank you

This product is great at transporting all of my photography equipment from place to place. I'm starting at a photography school in the fall and I think this will be the perfect camera suitcase to carry my equipment to and from school as I learn more about photography shoots.

I always say photographer to bags are like purses to women!! There's a bag for everything but it's hard to find the perfect bag that fits everything. At least I thought, until I purchased Tamrac's Speed Roller bag. I needed a bag that would fit at least 75% of my gear, allow me to roll it everything instead of carrying my pelican's, and also have everything nice and organized. In addition, I wanted something I could use when I travel. This is definitely by far the best bag purchase I've made and I couldn't have been happier!!!
Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

I really like this bag. It suits my needs perfectly. The great thing about this bag is that it has a padded bottom & there is no imbalance where the telescoping handle goes into the case.
Ample room for all of my photo gear & laptop.

I was able to fit my 1Ds and my 5D with 4 lenses and several accessories. Its a big improvement over my heavy back pack! Traveling will be a breeze now. I wouldn't mind if it were a little bigger, but then of course I would have to check it in with the airlines.

As I travel extensively with Maventus Media, I needed a case that could reduce obvious attention! The Tamrac is a pretty good option and you can load up a lot of stuff.
Realistically, I found that the max you could securely store would be: 2 SLR bodies, 1 70-200, 1 17-35, 1 or 2 flash units, cables and stuff.
Anything more won't work - there isn't enough room to keep the unit small and unobserved.
For the price it's ok enough but I found the extending handle and fittings to not be as high quality that they should be; I expect them to break sometime simply because of the arduous nature of international travel.
The Cordurra outer cover is great, zips used are a bit light on and the wheels seem to be free and clear for a good "roller"
One big advantage I've found is that I can also use this as a home storage as well. Literally, I keep everything still in the case and on the shelf ready for next deployment.
If the unit survives six months of our field test I will get another one or two for various other kits.
Overall a good unit and the roller case options are well worth serious consideration.

I travel a lot and my Tamrac backpack with camara gear and computer was to heavy to piggy back on my roller board. The 5592 is easy to access, strudy enough to piggy back a tote for a day or two on the road, and has enough compartments for 2 digital cameras with lens and accessories. Might be alittle to big for stowing on a regional jet but would protect the camera as a gate check bag.

Life is easier on the fast lane now! As a wedding photographer, I have a LOT of gear & had been using a backpack camera bag, which had been great, but this bag I have just purchased is FANTASTIC! It's SO much easier now! WHeeling it along is way easier on my body than carrying it!And I LOVE the extra protection by the wheels as you go up stairs! It's not going to wear out the fabric because it's protected. Love love love it! Thanks B&H!

I bought this bag little more than a month ago and I am totally satisfied with quality. This solved my multi-bags problems. Now I can take only one bag and do any outdoor shoots. Good job, Tamrac!

A very safe bag, the big weels allow me to move everywhere. I used a little weels one before, that gave me a lot of problems while moving. This case is very good for my job and travels.

At last, a case that holds everything I might need, no matter where I go shooting. To me, having the bases covered is comforting; with the number of lenses this case holds I can do just that. Excellent padding and dividers protect your gear very well. Since the empty case weighs a lot by itself, loaded it is not something easily carried. The wheels eliminate the strain of bringing "the whole toybox" and is the main reason I bought this case. The handle is sturdy and tall. I would recommend this case to anyone who requires packing a lot of equipment in an easy-to-handle case.
