First off, these ear pads fit the HDJ-1500. I bought them purely for that application and they fit perfectly. The stock pads on the 1500 are made to have the phones sit ON the ear, which is fine however I feel that they are too firm and do not flex enough for comfort sake; yet I must say that they are like this for SUPERIOR sound isolation. I am more interested in the comfort aspect for extended use and while these replacement pads to not keep external noise out as well as the stock pads, they are far more comfortable for longer duration uses. Installation is surprisingly easy and they fit and feel terrific. I am incredibly pleased with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone who feels the stock pads on the 1500's are not cushy enough.

I bought the hdj-2000 headphones 3 years ago and to be honest never imagine that the pads will be replaced, i was expecting as a natural manner the headphones to break. A bit expensive but keeps your headphones rolling.
