This is a great kit for someone who is interested in assembling a full boom arsenal but doesn't have the knowledge (or time) to pick out each individual item. The Rode NTG-3 microphone sounds great and all of the kit's pieces work really nicely together. My only complaint is that the internal coiled XLR cable inside of the K-Tec boom pole definitely does make noise if moved too swiftly. After consulting with my audio guy, he thinks that this shouldn't be an issue as it does take a fair amount of force for the boom pole's noise to become a noticeable nuisance. The boom pole also could be a bit longer.
