The Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount is used to attach the Zacuto EVF to a 0.59" (15 mm) rod, or to a Zacuto universal baseplate with a video camera such as the AF-100, Sony F3, or FS100. When used in combination with Z-mount Zwivel 360° connector at the corner and pan and tilt mount at the top the combination allows the EVF to be placed at various positions.

With a flip of the lever, the Zicro Mini allows you to quickly release the EVF from EVF rod mount. The horizontal and vertical rod ends are threaded female, which enable you to use rod extensions for both height and distance, allowing you to place the EVF.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount:

If you have the EVF Pro then consider getting this. Really does make your rig more comfortable. I'd say it's a necessity if your shooting on a rig. Great build quality and has many options to be moved around to your preference.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount:

Typical Zacuto...expensive, looks great AND works perfectly.
Allows a full range of adjustments for EVFs (I use a DP4) Holds solidly even with the battery on the EVF.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount:

Like the other reviewers said it is made very well, but the weight of the EVF with a battery on it I found to always move.
I prefer using the Zacuto Zamerican Arm and inverting the viewfinder.
The Zamerican arm is what made Zacuto and it is very solid .
If you tighten the arm IT WILL NOT MOVE.
With your head pressed against a viewfinder it will move. Not with the Zamerican arm.
My biggest gripe is you can't get to the aperture easily because the rod mount is in the way....at least with an F3.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount:

My expectations were high and Zacuto delivered. Bought the EVF and needed a 15mm mount, I am not disapointed. Being a mechanical engineer, I appreciate sound designs and build quality. The details such as the 15 degrees positive step locking of the 'Zwivel' and the anodized finish are top of class. As of now, Zacuto will be my prefered manufacturer for rig equipment...BTW I love my EFV!

Comments about Zacuto Z-ERM EVF Rod Mount:

The Z-ERM EVF mount is a VERY versatile rails mount for the Zacuto EVF. While the price point might seem high, this is a very well engineered piece of kit. The pan and tilt mount makes repositioning the EVF on the fly a no brainer. The quick release mount makes breaking down the EVF effortless. Before I purchased this mount I had my EVF on a Noga Arm and it frustratingly slow mount and reposition. If you are using the Zacuto EVF on a rails platform I highly recommend this product.
