International Orders*The Custom Brackets Yuri Arcurs SteadyPod Basic is a pro photography kit intended for use with a monopod. For studio and on-location photography that captures action and therefore requires a lot of moving around on the photographer's part, a monopod is often a more appropriate support choice than a relatively immobile tripod.
Devised by wildly successful "micro stock" photographer Yuri Arcurs, this SteadyPod kit includes a Tilt Head CB, a Digital PRO-SV rotation bracket for smooth transitions between portrait and landscape orientation, an extended palm grip for the bracket, and all necessary quick-release plates.
The Tilt Head CB is designed to isolate the camera's movement to front-to-back (or back-to-front) only, increasing the overall stability of the system. Like the Digital PRO-SV, the Tilt Head is constructed of machined aluminum, which is anodized for a scratch-resistant finish. Releasing the bracket from the head requires the engagement of the push bar, a unique quick-release design from Custom Brackets. With separate knobs for tilt-lock and tension control for greater adjustment precision, the head allows upward tilt to 90° and nearly the same forward tilt.
The Digital PRO-SV bracket allows you to smoothly rotate the camera from portrait to landscape orientation (and vice versa) while keeping the camera centered over the monopod. The roller-bearing bracket locks into place once you've rotated it the full 90°. Included in the kit is an extended grip for rotating the camera along the arc of the Digital PRO-SV.
The Yuri Arcurs SteadyPod Basic kit also includes everything you need to join the various elements while preserving quick-release functionality throughout: there's a CBP camera-bottom plate, a CMP two-way plate with anti-twist features, and a QR-C kit for attaching the whole assembly to a monopod.
Note! Monopod not included. The head has a 3/8"-16 thread.

Comments about Custom Brackets Yuri Arcurs SteadyPod Basic:
One of most well designed pieces of gear I have ever invested in. I use it for ring side (sports) photography and it is absolutely amazing for that purpose. I know Yuri Arcurs uses it for stock, but this thing rocks for sports. Completely unmatched. Be aware that the thing requires a little maintenance, primarily the monopod needs the screws tightened sometimes. The custom brackets unit keeps going.

Comments about Custom Brackets Yuri Arcurs SteadyPod Basic:
The price is an obvious drawback on this, but then again, most of Custom Brackets items are above what I'd consider fair market price.
So moving from price to performance, this thing is solid. I've been getting back into film lately and needed some stability (monopod+head) in lower light. What ultimately led me to this was I needed something fast and easy to use, I didn't want to miss a shot while I was fiddling with my monopod head. Man does this thing deliver. You can adjust the tension on the pivot which means that put the camera in whatever position you want, and it stays. Landscape or portrait, up or down, there are no knobs or adjustments, you put the camera where you want it which puts you in a better position to catch a shot.
Very solidly built and sturdy, I tend to be rough on my gear and this thing hasn't shown any signs of wear. I also love the ingenious quick release design that these guys came up with.... I've always used Gitzo monopods and heads, and this is a much simpler way to quickly attach and detach.
Bottom line, if you're looking for something that's going to give you SPEED and MOBILITY, then this is quite honestly the best thing out there.
