The LRF600 4x20 Laser Rangefinder from Simmons is a fixed focus monocular optical system with a range of 10 to 600 yards. It has a simple one button operation. With a 4x magnification and its In-View liquid crystal display, this scope is a very convenient piece of equipment to have on your next hunt or hike.
The LRF600 4x20 Laser Rangefinder delivers accurate range performance to +/- one yard. The range to a deer extends as far as 200 yards/182 meters out, or to a tree 400 yards/366 meters. The single button operation allows easily measured distances with confidence.
The Laser Rangefinder emits invisible, eye safe, infrared energy pulses. Digital technology instantaneously calculates distances by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder, to the target, and back. Once activated, the LCD will remain active and display the last distance measurement for 30 seconds. The power button can be depressed again at any time for distance to a new target. The LCD's reticle provides illuminated indicators that advise the user of the unit of measure, when the laser is active, when the battery charge is low, and when a target has been acquired. The display can be set for yards or meters.

Comments about Simmons LRF600 4x20 Rangefinder:
Bought one for hunting last year and just purchased a second for some acreage estimates at work. Feels good in hand and hanging around the neck. Takes a 9v batt which is a plus because they are widely available, no searching store to store for an obscure size. It has a little trouble at longer distances unless there is a nice reflective object to range (like building or big rock).
