The InVision Studio Kit with USM by Rycote is a complete suspension and pop filter system which combines the InVision Studio Universal Shock Mount and Universal Pop Filter in one convenient package - everything you need to capture professional radio-ready recordings free from pops and noise.
The shock mount supports any microphone with a diameter of 18 to 55 mm and weighing up to 1.65 lb. The patented vibration-resistant Lyre mount helps reduce capsule and cable-borne noise and controlled tests at Rycote's factory show that it provides up to twice the isolation of traditional microphone suspension systems. The pop filter is made with a custom mesh that attenuates frequencies up to 20dB and is designed to reduce or eliminate pops caused by B's and P's in vocal performances. Unlike other pop filters, this one causes no audible high-frequency loss keeping the integrity and clarity of the original sound produced by your microphone. With its universal screw clamp, the InVision pop filter not only works with the InVision USM but is designed to fit any universal shock mount with diameters between 1/8 and 1/2". When the time comes, the mesh filter is replaceable helping to maintain a clean, hygienic studio and the ergonomic frame is designed for comfort so you can focus on the performance and not what's in front of you.| General | |

Comments about Rycote InVision Studio Kit with USM:
I've always found typical spider shock mounts to be annoying; the elastic often comes loose while attaching microphones, and many of them don't give you the feeling that the microphone is completely secure and safe when hanging at odd angles. As a studio engineer I've come in contact with shock mounts from Neumann, Royer, AKG, just about every well-known brand you can think of. None of them, aside from the huge Royer shock mount for their SF-24 stereo mic, makes me feel as comfortable about mounting my microphones at odd angles as the Rycote mount. I was in the market for a universal shock mount that would fit a Royer 121 and a Mikrotech Gefell MT71s at my home studio. Because I use my home studio primarily for overdubs and mixing, I don't have the need for a separate shock mount for every microphone I own. So I began searching for something high quality, versatile, and cheaper than the [$] shock mount offered by Gefell. Lo and behold, the Rycote shock mount feels very heavy duty, is lightweight, vibrations are highly diminished, and it comes with a very convenient attachable pop filter that gives vocals a much less colored high end when AB'ed against the nylon and mesh pop filters we use at the studio. I had wondered if the four screw-clamps would be a pain for swapping mics in and out quickly, but it is actually much faster than fussing with the other styles of shock mounts I've used and my microphones feel twice as secure. I never thought I'd say this, but this shock mount is one of the best purchases I've made this year.

Works great! Holds my Neumann TLM 103
Or my Blue Blueberry with ease. The pop filter
Works great as well.

Comments about Rycote InVision Studio Kit with USM:
I would've given it 6 stars if I could. Easy installation and use. I've spent way too much time adjusting the spit guard or wind screen with the traditional flexible design. The shockmount itself was worth the price. I've seen weaker shockmounts go for twice the price of this unit! That's right Neumann!

Comments about Rycote InVision Studio Kit with USM:
I bought this to replace a rather worn and unreliable Neumann shockmount, and am extremely impressed with it. Great build quality, easy to use, looks super-cool, and isolates better than any other shockmount I've ever owned. As an added bonus, all my LDC's and larger ribbon mics all fit inside so I'm able to use it with way more mics than just the Neumann.
The pop filter is fantastic, as well... sounds better than any of the fabric or metal ones I own. It stops way more air from hitting the mic, yet sounds clearer... plus, you get an extra filter element... and it's washable!
