This is a great alternative to a magliner or mover's dolly. The handle folds into the unit so it can be stored in the trunk of a taxi with other gear. If there's a downside it's that it's very heavy, but then that's related to its ruggedness and besides, most of the time you're not carrying a cart/dolly because you're rolling it! Also, kudos to the manufacturer for responsiveness. I had one small issue with mine when it arrived and I received a response and solution from the president of the company within just a few hours. Very happy with this product.

Overall a well-designed versatile cart. Like other have noted, the paint will scratch/rub off from friction during transport (for if you equipment is strapped to the cart while driving to a location shoot). I tried contacting customer service 2 times online regarding a concern about the bearings and the plastic cover protecting them on the smaller wheels. The plastic covering creates a large gap when the wheel pivots. My concern is that the bearings will eventually fall out rendering the wheels useless.3 stars for lack poor customer service. Great gear. The one drawback is the weight of it. But otherwise what you can carry is pretty unlimited, with fast and versatile setup.

Very versatile with one big heavy piece or several smaller pieces. The cart itself is built like a tank and heavy on it's own. But unless you're humping gear up a flight of steps, it shouldn't be a problem. Wheels are tight and solid. I bought the bungees that go with it, and they work great. They attach anywhere.

Comments about Gruv Gear V-Cart Solo:

I don't like to give bad reviews but this cart is expensive and If it has a major design flaw I'm going to talk about it. If you evenly load this cart it will fall right over. You have to put the heavier items on the bottom and then it will work. But if you put two speakers that weigh the same it will fall right over. It's too bad because it looks nice. They also painted the cart and did not powder paint it. So if you touch any of the metal it will scratch right off. Not sure why they did a cheap paint job on such an expensive cart. But the main problem is the balance. It is completely useless and I'm not sure what to do with it.

I have tons of gear to bring places and this cart and all its configs is amazing. Its a little on the heavy side compared to the other push carts, but this is built to last! There was a lot of thought put into this and it shows.

Comments about Gruv Gear V-Cart Solo:

First, if you think a light weight flimsy cart will hold 500 pounds you're fooling your self... so... this one is heavy, but it's a work horse! Configurable into a lot of "forms" and you pretty much never have to worry about if it will hold the weight (have you ever pulled 500 pounds?). It does fold quite compact, which is nice, if I had one complaint is that it can be a little small in some configurations but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to make given how small it folds down for travel/storage. Great cart, well made.

Was glad i purchased this. The tilted V-mode looked like it would be easy for me to cary all my gear around and i was right. I also have a rolling case i take with me so i can put the rest of my gear on this card and roll the case behind me without difficulty. Its a little hefty but that means its well built and should last.

Used for drum kit and photo gear. Have been using a Tri-Cart 800 for years, and definitely prefer it for lighter use, but when you want a flatbed, this thing is nice. When taking extra lighting gear on a shoot, or stacking the drum kit for hauling in to a venue, I'm glad to have it. Very stable, nimble and maneuverable. Takes up a fair amount of space when stored. It is BIG. And HEAVY. But, that's why it's so stable. Unfortunately, cannot store the carpeted deck on the folded up unit, so that takes up more space as well. Also a little difficult to grab the handle to change from the stored position to the upright position. Wheels/tires are very nice. Nice design that has both upright and flat use.

Black powder coating not baked on so comes off even with first use. Big wheel held on by screw that unscrews with weight bearing. Wheel should have some isolation like an axle with ball bearings to separate turning wheel from the axle. Furthermore, the system for adjusting cart requires pulling off parts to reseat them in different positions rather than a smooth ratched adjustment that does not require disassembly each time you wish to repurpose the cart. I expected more for the cost.

Comments about Gruv Gear V-Cart Solo:

This cart is a must and very well designed for most of my video equipment. Very sturdy and has several uses. I would give it 5 stars if two critical screws were not left out. They did come eventually and these things do happen.
