The DataVac Electric Duster 500 from Metro Vac uses a 500-Watt motor to remove dust and debris from your computer and electronic equipment so they continue to run at maximum efficiency. Unlike other electronics dusters that use compressed air, the Electric Duster 500 is a more cost effective and greener choice. It uses a powerful 500 Watt motor to blast dust, dirt, and debris rather than an aerosol can of compressed air.

This saves me $$$. No more wasting $$$ on compressed air cans. This little duster blows out some serious air. Air does get warm during continuous use. Also loud as a vacuum. But still worth the buy. Thanks

I love this thing, so much air, long cord & in just a short time it saved me a bundle. It blows warm air-unlike the cans, wich turn freakin' cold after few secs of use. I use it for all of my electrnics now.

I bought a can of air to remove a lot dust and debris from a computer. I paid $6.99 for it and lasted 1 minute. Guess what. I did not finish. At $6.99 a minute I guess this is the most expensive air in the world.
That is when I decided to look for an alternative and found this little marvel. Since I have 10 computers in my office I have some cleaning to do.
Well, it paid for itself the first time around.
DataVac electric duster 500 did the job nicely to my heart content.
Canned air is expensive and bad for the environment since there is no use for the can once is emptied. With the Datavac I will save money and help the environment.
I fully recommend it. It's cool and effective.

I actually bought for my wife to use on her sewing machine. She was buying lots of canned air, so I thought this would save money in the long run. I use it on my laptop and cameras. It has a very powerfull blast of air, especially with the smaller nozzels attached. I do use it on my cameras, but the outside only, body and lenses. I don't think I would ever use it to clean the sensor or mirror. I read somewhere that a blast too powerfull can actually blow the mirror off the hinges, or embedd dust particles into the sensor, and I am not willing to take that chance. I do have a rocket blower for that and other sensor cleaning products. One thing that would make this product better is a varible speed adjustment. It would be nice to back down the power for some uses. Foam filter is easy to remove and clean. It seems well built and solid, although a little expensive for a small reverse vacuum.

Comments about METRO DataVac DataVac Electric Duster 500:
Hang on to the thing you aim it at. The cleaning power of this device goes far beyond dusting off cameras. We have several rocket squeeze balls that work well, but the DataVac has a 100 times more power when you want it. The foam filter on the base of the unit is easy to clean, the cleaning attachments are useful and the overall quality is excellent. I put off getting this sooner due to the price, but it seems to be worth what I payed.

Comments about METRO DataVac DataVac Electric Duster 500:
Essentially a powerful, reversed vacuum cleaner, this device almost eliminates the need for compressed air cans. No only that this device lacks the inconsistent output and landfill problems associated with of a can of air. I wish it was battery operated, but suspect I'd lose most of the power that makes this device so great. Wide range of accessories for cleaning seals the deal. A++
